1959 Chevrolet Corvette 283 Fuel Injection | Muscle Car Of The Week Episode #192 Video
The Brothers Collection is home to an armada of muscle Corvettes, and this one… well it's over the top. Sure, 1959 was far before the official muscle car era began and it is America's sportscar, but this fuel-injected crown sapphire roadster is sporting the hottest performance goodies underneath its mesmerizing exterior.

I owned a '59 Corvette built for me on special order - it had fuel injection, 4 speed transmission. It was white with a red interior and removable hardtop. Wonderful car that turned everyone's head. I was the envy of all my fraternity brothers. Wish I still owned it.

I just discovered the fact of late 50's fuel injection and your explanation of how the system works really answered a lot of questions that my discovery raised.

Incidentally, I have owned a total of 6 Corvettes - loved them all.

Beautiful car. I never really loved C1 Corvettes but this one is eye candy. Always liked the bumper-exit exhaust and the quad headlights together with that massive grill look better and better.

I remember when those came out. I liked the removable hard top and having a trunk to secure stuff. In 1969 my buddy bought a used 62 vet for $1500. It was a little ratty but went fast for it's day.

Hey, Kevin. Sure appreciate you sharing this car. Yea, it's not a muscle car, but it still has the "cool factor" and it's iconic. Please share more of the Brother's Collection Corvettes.

I had a chance to buy 62' 327 300hp Vette for $24k in 92', it ran and was complete but needed a lot of work. I didn't have the cash for it at the time, but man I wish I could have picked it up that would have been a keeper. The duel fixed headlight 1st gen Corvettes are the best looking by far to my eyes.

I'm a 1965-72 muscle car guy but cannot deny the appeal of these. You will turn more heads than just about any other car. Old guys, young guys, grandmas, europeans, it doesn't matter. Everyone looks, points and knows a first gen Corvette.

One of the few times Chevrolet could actually make more hp than cubes. Bob Castle should be known around the world for figuring out old GM fuel injection.

Splendid ( Is the l.h. rear bumper set a tad high?)

beautiful car!!, But, it really seems to be down on power for a fuelie,4spd, 3.70 rear gear car. maybe not set up quite right??

Yeah, sometimes restored cars are not fully dialed in. Or, maybe it's suffering form 'storage rot'?. Judging from the size of the collection I'd guess that a lot of the cars don't get driven as much as they should

maybe not a muscle car, but it sure qualifies as a pony car - long before the Mustangs appeared...
