The reseal and repair of a 1950's to early 60's Saginaw 3 Speed Manual Trans. A very simple device, this same basic unit was used from the mid 1930's to around 1964 for low torque applications. No syncro in 1st gear...It was "good 'nuff" to get you around.

Love your video explaining how the clutch works. But I do have this question I own a 51 Pontiac chieftain do they have the same type of clutch like Chevrolet?,when I go to my 3rd gear it just sounds bad first and second are fine.

If its only 3rd gear- the problem is in the transmission- Third is actually "direct" on a three speed manual, the input shaft is locked to the output shaft. Your counter shaft or syncro could be chewed up- need to tear it down.

I have a 63 impala 3 speed tranny in the car. If I remove the inspection cover, is it normal for none of the gears in the tranny to move?

Where does the bearings go. I had a the bearings fall out and I can’t figure out where they go. (1969 C20 3 speed 350 transmission)

Hi, do you know if it takes single needle bearing rollers in the L-6 clutch gear or does it take 2 different size needle bearings?

I use 90W with a GL5 Rating. Does not have to be synthetic

I’m ready to mate the rear of the transmission to the front. Have needle bearings and alittle washer that I am not sure about. Any tips will be appreciated

Do you mean the input shaft ? if so the best thing is to take some assembly goo, grease, or Valseline to hold the needle bearing into the output shaft when installing the input shaft into it.

More precisely the 2 washers that seperate the 2 needle bearings. Does the little and big washer go side by side or is it inner bearings then small washer then outer needle bearings then big washer. This is my first restore and trying to keep it all original
