Wrapping up this front disc brake conversion with getting the dual master cylinder installed with booster. Nova video coming next! Instagram: Billyfargon
Thanks Billy, your video help me a lot. I'm doing disc brake conversion in my 64 Impala and I'm here watching your video for brake lines 😆 Thanks A LOT SIR!!! ✌🏽😎
I just installed the same set up in a '61 Impala. There was an extra boot in the kit so, I popped the large end over the rear of the boot already installed on the rod. It seals the large hole left in the firewall behind the booster. Also, you will need to shorten the pushrod about an inch (on a '61). Thanks for the tip about cpp lines. A little easier than bending, rebending, throwing away, repeat... I was hoping to avoid crossing the frame twice but, I would have to make a new route down the left frame rail. HEY!!! I just remembered, if your's is a column shift, check to see if you need to shorten the top of the shift rod. I cut off about 3/4 inch. The wheel covers look pretty damn good!
Nice progress on the Impala, but those brake lines looked nasty to do!!! The hubcaps turned out super....looking forward to next video on the Nova.....
Awesome video Billy! I have a 63 impala; I just did an upgrade from drum to disk brake conversation. I'm installing new dual brake master cylinder, did your original brake cylinder had a single brake line? before converting to duel? if so, how did you add another secondary line? Thank you in advance!

Great video bud, Im actually in the middle of doing my lines right now. Where did you start feeding the new lines? or any easy way that you could done diff? did you have to take out your steering reservoir? any advice would really appreciate it.
I didn’t actually have to take anything out to get lines in. I pulled them out through the drivers side and just paid attention to the path they took and put the new ones in the same path. I did have my son help though. I laid under front of car while he fed them down from up top slowly. You do have to bend them a little as they feed under but they do bend back pretty easy. It’s not a fun job but just go slow and watch the path. Don’t be afraid to bend the line either :)
The easiest way for me was to jack the car up feed it from the bottom driver side under the steering shaft over top of the suspension then fed alongside the fuel pump 🥂💪🏿
Single puts front and rear on same braking circuit. If you lose front you lose back as well. With dual it puts braking circuits front and rear on their own so if you lose front you still have rear and visa versa. I don’t have the car anymore so I can’t confirm paint code :/
I did everything u did on ur video , bleed all my brakes snd master cylinder, but my pedal hoes all the way to the floor , I got no leaks , any suggestions will help ?
Hey brother I just did a brake conversion on my 63 and I bled the system about 4 times already and I still have a soft pedal, I checked for leaks and I don’t have any, do you have any idea what else it can be?
The old system is a single reservoir master cylinder, so front and rear are on the same hydraulic circuit. With the conversion to front discs and a dual master, you need new lines to create two independent hydraulic circuits.
