Nice swap! I just bought a low mile 2002 Suburban for my doner. I just recently pulled the original 292 inline 6 out of my 1966 c10 and will start pulling everything off of the suburban. Is there any way u can please make a link for the parts used? Im having trouble finding motor and transmission mounts that will wrk for this swap. Thank you!
Have a 64 I am picking up an LM7 for next week. Glad to know these headers fit. Edit: Got an L59 and have already replaced all the gaskets and seals, almost time to test fit
im doing a 64 gmc swb 5.3 , I too like your wheel stance.. Im doing harness mod and ecu tune/flash on this one, now.. my big ?? is would you share the header part number.. I used the front holes on my engine mount perches and had no issues with the bell housing and trans crossmember lined up to one of the holes perfect .. remount tank was able to use factory holes in the frame to mount the tank too..
Savannahjbo they are speed engineering headers I bought off amazon. Search 25-1025 and they’ll pop up. There’s 2 different sizes 1-3/4” and 1-7/8”. Mine are 1-3/4”.
Allen really nice work man. Thinking of options for my dads c20 original 292 swap. Where did u source motor? What would be a good budget for your build?
Scoutprop 13 bought the motor off craigslist. It’s hard to put a $ amount on it. I sourced a lot of stuff through friends and Craigslist. Engine I got lucky on and bought it dirt cheap.
Scoutprop 13 I ran stock gauges. I bought a cheap voltage gauge from the parts store took the mechanicals out of it and swapped them into my cluster in place of the amp gauge.
Fuel mileage was a little worse than the tbi 350. Mostly because I ran the dog piss out of the ls🤣. The tbi 350 I had in it broke a rocker stud and I found the ls while looking for cylinder heads.
