Its Rare Enough ,W/ the Ram Air Option,No Post ,But Can't Say I've Ever Seen A 65 Black GTO,W/ White Interior.Believe This Is Also Called Parchment on Interior Color.New Owner Is A VERY LUCKY GUY. TKS For Sharing Lou & Jim.
Now that is a really sweet GTO. My buddys dad had a 66 and we took it for a ride. % minutes after we got bak his old man came home and heard the mufflers tinking sound and we were caught. He didn't go crazy but he wasn't happy.
@@loucostabile We ran that 66 gto up over 100 mph. Oddly when we brought it back it ran better. Had quite a lope to the cam in it. I always wonder if his dad put a cam in it. It would fry the old tires on it. We were crazy in those youthful days.
Hi Lou, What a beautiful G.T.O, black & chrome always looks great. Thank you for sharing as per usual nothing but the best. Your number 1 Fan in Australia Louis Kats from Melbourne Australia ☺ 👍
Hi Louis, "Thank you for sharing as per usual nothing but the best." High praise for this episode :-) Thank you my best & # 1 Fan in Australia Louis! Lou
What a beautiful car ! The `50s and `60s cars had such style, which matched their performance. My old roomie had a `66 GTO (tri-power, no Ram Air), and I had a `66 Grand Prix 421 HO (tri-power), 4-speed. The streets were alive with cool cars back then, they were all over the place....
H Black Waterdogs, Regarding cars from the 50s & 60s, you're on the right Channel :-) Happy to read this car / video brings back memories of your Rommie's GTO, Lou
Another great video Lou love watching your channel. I been around classic cars my whole life and I'm still learning new things about them from watching your channel.
One of my favorites! My Grandfather had a Capri Gold '65 hardtop coupe and the little details stick with me to this day. Hard to beat the tail end assembly.
This is got to be one of my favourite- anything 1956 really. I now really want a couple more Pontiacs, and with this car, the GTO Hardtop is on may bucket list. Great job!
Wow, this GTO looks fantastic, Lou! The paint is perfect and the stance is just right, too. Add the rare ram air option, and it's no wonder it ended up in Mr. Pontiac's hands. I'm sure the new owner will love it, too
As a new subscriber I'm thankful I did.I grew up loving all GTOs but 65 is unique. I've owned 68,69 and a 70 Judge but the late model 65 is gorgeous. Ty for sharing!
Hi Maris Alchimovics , Welcome to the Channel :-) Glad to read you've owned some great cars. You'll see some of those on the Channel too. Regarding sharing, my pleasure, and you're welcome, Lou
As I remember one of my uncles came back from Vietnam bought one new with 389 3 tri pack 4 speed I can't remember if it was a 65 or 66 but I do remember him taking me for rides to town and back in it I've got to say I don't think I have ever road in any thing like it since then it would spin the tires passing someone going 50 mph when he down shifted it and layed on the gas pedal I was a kid I remember it would pen me to the seat when he gassed it for a stock car from the factory it's always going to be my favorite one of all times I've heard people say the 400 engines were stronger but I have to wonder about that I myself haven't seen one that I thought was any way thanks a bunch for sharing it and bless you for reserving some of the all time best American muscle cars ever made in America
Hi Charles Hogan, Happy to read this car / video brings back memories of the one you Uncle had :-) Blessings received, God bless you too, and you're welcome, Lou
Hi James Bono, I have two of Jim's car on the Channel and when I see him he's wonderful to share this cars and his knowledge :-) Here is the link to the other car, Enjoy, Lou ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i-Za4wjxq60.html
Very, very nice 65. Wish it was mine. HOWEVER, I can't believe it was restored with an incorrect gas pedal. And a couple of minor things under the hood. Still beautiful!
Hi Jerry Hamilton, Thank you for viewing and sharing your thoughts. Hope you see many more cars on this RU-vid Channel you enjoy. Please subscribe, and hit the "bell" so you can see all the cars when they are uploaded on this RU-vid Channel, Lou
My favorite part is the fact that it doesn't have air conditioning or power steering. So when you open up the hood all you see is that beautiful engine.
Hi ImTheDaveman, If we had that song playing RU-vid would hit me with a "copy write violation" that I don't own the rights to that song, and they might cut off the audio on this video. Happy you enjoy this car :-) Lou
@@loucostabile yeah - I was kidding. We cant have our Lou in the RU-vid pokey for something like that. If that happened - no one could fill your shoes on here. No one.
