I have a set of 68 Camaro seats I’m putting into my 65 Stepside. Building brackets for them. Then going to mount a center console from a K5 in between them.
I recently purchased a 1966 C10 that has bucket seats. While these seats are adjustable and tilt, I do not need these features in a C10. I am searching for an original bench seat that I can reupholster. If you still have your old seat, I would like to purchase it from you. If anyone out there has one I am in the market for one I'm in the Portland Oregon area.
@@alfonsomendez6633 join a C10 group on Facebook or an online forum. I gave 4 of these seats away over the last couple years, they have little value, you should be able to find one easily.
Nice! I ended up using a 1979 C10 bench seat in my 63 C10 since I already had it. Truck didn't come with a seat but had the brackets. I squeezed the back til the holes lined up with the seat holes. The front of the bracket is tucked in. Pretty solid and plenty room for my long legs.
@@shortcutgarage will have to make a video. but yea, i put them in all my 54 chevy belair builds since they can swing forward because they came out of a two door car. in the trucks they are great for the same reason since the interior fuel tank is gone, now i can get behind the seats for storage. not to mention the heated seats are bottom AND lower back. electric positioning up down forward and back, and lumbar with up down adjustment. pull the head rests off and they look like low back buckets. pick any center console to finish it off. usually at least 3 in the junkyard and one of them will have a driver seat that isnt ruined. dont forget the heated seat switches next to the shifter.
I may restore an original seat one day but for now money needs to go to other areas of the build. This seat was $50, frees up cash for drivetrain and body.... one day when she’s roadworthy I’ll get back to it, but for now this fits the budget.... and it’s comfy too
