1969 firebird Camaro tires that fit on factory 15x7 rally2 without rubbing front 235-60-15 rear 255/60/15 if you goto a 15x8 Corvette rally the sidewall hits unless you bend the lip in the wheel well
I just got done with a 1969 firebird. I cut out the inner wheel wells and moved them into the inner frame rail. No modifying the outer 1/4 panel. We now installed 315x30r18 on the rear on 18x11 wheels with a 5 inch back spacing. We then shortened the rear from 60 inches to 54.5 inches.. No rubbing or scrapping.
Yeah this car was already metal worked when we bought it,mini tubs are always an option, wheel well lip is just fast and free since cars still in primer
Good video and information, not much out there for me after I converted my front brakes to disc and had to move from 14" to 15" wheels. I ordered 15x8 wheels but will be returning them and feel more confident that 15x7 wheels will work after seeing your experience. I'm rebuilding a 69 firebird convertible and have no desire to start chopping up the fenders.
