I have a sit at the shop and I forgot to put them in the truck. I’m going to make a bracket to mount them so that they will be on the truck all the time.
That's why if I were to ever buy a Deuce it would have at least a front winch on it. Both trucks that were assigned to me in Germany and again at Ft Stewart had winches, I never got stuck but pulled a couple out at Stewart, sandy swamps. I just saw the part where he has one but nothing in front to hook to. He sank the axle chunks LOL Yeah they are fun, especially when you get cab floor deep in water and still keep moving, that one has been shortened by one axle and a cargo trailer bed mounted to it along with the duals changed to singles
hey towman127 nice job getting it out. driving on grass is a big gamble in a wrecker. I know a method to use a snatch block with both cables so your able to reach longer ill make a video showing it but just attach both winch hooks together and attach the snatch block to stuck vehicle then just be careful to not pull the hooks through the snatch block and you can reach with all available cable.
I know what you’re talking about. It’s when you marry the lines as they call it. I could’ve done that and I thought about it but I was trying to be able to control the left side and the right side of the vehicle to try to get it out. I have done that message before on a box truck that was stuck. I actually have to edit that video. Thanks for the reminder! 😂
Here’s the ones we have. You can check the sizes they have to see which works best for you. The description on the packaging shows 1” to 2-1/4” They’re called “SINOKING Rubber clamp- P57” amzn.to/3IP2BZY
2.5 ton rockwells dont have differential locks thats why only 1 front and 1 rear tires were spinning if you hold light pressure on the brakes it will make both wheels spin
Unless you install lockers, NO 4x4 is a true 4 Wheel Drive !!. And it's best to do a STRAIGHT LINE pull !!. And raise that boom in the air so it pushes DOWN of the rear of the Wrecker. Also you can flip your wheel Grids DOWN so the receivers will dig into the ground and help anchor the wrecker. Worse case you can put your L-Arms in all the way and let them dig in deeper !!. Gonna get dirty but it will help get a vehicle out!. I do this stuff Daily and LOVE what I do !.
I had scotch blocks but they weren’t on the truck. Straight pull wasn’t an option cause that area was way too soft for my wrecker and I’d be getting stuck next. My truck doesn’t squat very much and the boom was up a little. Probably could’ve gone higher. I just subscribed to your channel. If you do this all the time you should definitely make some videos for your channel.
@@TowMan127 I have lots of videos, But I need to Edit them before posting. I'm a old school COUNTRY boy and I don't get along with "Computers" well !!. So trying to learn to use the computer to "Edit" first. . Thanks for subing, That's all new to me too. 😂. Any time I can help just holler.
