You are spot on, my friend! BTW, happy belated birthday. I'm up there with you next August, God-willing. Enjoy all the perks of having officially arrived to "senior-hood. I'm going to work it every where I go (just kidding but I'm going to take advantage of it here and there. God bless you! Take care 🎉🎉😊❤
Happy belated birthday! Your name sounds so familiar! Anyway great music all through the years! Our folks sure played the best music growing up! I grew up on all genres! I turned 60 on the 1st.of Sept.
They know what they missed out on, but the beauty is the music will never go away and there are plenty out there whose parents (speaking from experience) who have introduced them to this classic music.
I was 15 in 1970, and I felt like the world was mine. Whole future in front of me. I’m 69 now and it’s all gone past so quickly. I don’t feel as though I’ve had enough of anything yet. Thanks for the music and bringing back some wonderful memories. ❤
hahahaha, yiyiyi, howzabout that Kryckek bloke from the X-files? sort of the whole lynch pin, innit? hell yeeaaaaaaaaaaaah, plus! plus? how about Thor's hammer,, Mjolnir? set it on top of Loki, and look at him squirm, babycakes... thanks much, kiddo, please send more cheap vodker, yeah?
I was born in 1969, and I'm SO happy I was. 10 or 15 years earlier, I'd either be dead or sitting in a home with a sign on my lap that says 'Water twice a week'.
Hey neighbor from Minnesota, USA. I too, am having a great time enjoying the music and the memories they invoke. My uncles who lived with me when I was growing up turned me on to these songs and musicians . ❤🤗

Right now ! I couldn't think of anything better than to be 12 all over again, We had some great music, and television. Well at least that was when were not playing out, which was most of the day.🤩😍
Same here. While my older brothers were listening to Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Clapton, I was 6 years old and into Partridge Family, Brady Bunch and Jackson 5. Oh, to be that innocent again.
Angelic, smooth, full voice, Karen Carpenter. What a wonderful creation, and such a painful loss. Poor Karen truly crumbled at the loss of playing her beloved drums and being pushed to the front. I was just a kid, and I actually cried when I heard of her death. We started learning about Anorexia because of her death, in health class. My mother and her younger sister used to sing The Carpenter's songs, and their voices were so close to Karen's, and I would be shocked at how they could copy her. Of course, they didn't have her vocal stamina and beauty, but to a child, it was a wonder. Elton John, a vocal and pianist gift. Elton can sing a cereal box, and it would be Top 40 gold 😀 Elton and Bernie have given us so many hits! Ahhhh, the 70's 😊❤
I didn't make it to many concerts 😞 n the day so it's great to actually see my favorites perform d like ve on stage to n these videos I haven't seen a lot of them. The sounds really take me back tho . Beautiful times. The background music to my life.. wish I could go back there. But no one gets a pass on the getting old deal. No one. Thanks for the he memories.the text gets a lot wrong the lyrics are burned in my mind tho.technology, ya know gotta love it.thankfully a lot right too.
Janis Joplin was "fined $200 for using vulgar language?!" They could bring in billions with the profane language used in today's Rap "music!" The era of songs that touched our hearts and souls is long gone, which is a pity for younger generations.
Yeah and a gay man sat on top of the charts all the way through the most trying times for the gay people. It was a time when young people were really trying to change civilization for the better. I doubt it will ever be the last time. Humans always get tired of the shit-show and change.
Theyll say the same thing about theres, to me it's all depressing, can't Dance to it. And need therapy if you relate to the words or on un aliving watch
Really - just listening to a local music station today they curse + is disgusting that children here it on the radio today. Janis was beautiful + far from being vulgar
Notice that MUNGO JERRYS ""IN THE SUMMERTIME""" has a SLY & FAMILY STONES """THANK YOU""" sound to it and the singers VOICE can pass for SLY STONE !!!!!! """IN THE SUMMERTIME""" reached about #3 by AUGUST 15,1970 and recieved radio play around JULY 4,1970 tru SEPTEMBER 12,1970 ****
LOVE this Playlist! Call me weird, but every time I hear the song 'Layla' (Eric Clapton) It always reminds me of that long montage in the movie 'Goodfellas' where they were finding the bodies all over the city!
Love bridge over troubled water a classic karaoke song I did quite often. It When it came on the duke box in the pub they would cut out the sound on the high notes. Never caught me out ha ha
I’m rewinding my whole life and do you know what?!!! I was so innocent or naive whatever now I’m standing with my feet on the ground and for the almighty will I still have time to ask for pardon for all the wrongdoing in the 75% of my careless life.
