This stunning 1970 Porsche 911S in Silver with Black German Vinyl interior was restored some five years ago by one of California's most renown shops. Upon completion, the expert marque shop sold the car to a client who hardly drove it. So, when this client offered to sell it back to them, the shop eagerly agreed. Upon returning to its place of restoration, this classic was thoroughly serviced and inspected.
As such, when we bought it, we received a 1970 Porsche that looked and drove like it had just rolled off the production line. Indeed, it's only driven some 2,400 miles since its meticulously documented, full nut and bolt restoration. Like-new restorations by industry experts can require up to two years of painstaking work, so we truly lucked out when we encountered this highly collectible, and available, gem. It represents a unique opportunity to own one of the fastest early 911S models, produced between 1967 and 1973. What's more, it is an authentic example of the iconic Porsche combination of Silver (8080) and Black German Leather.
Its original 2.2-liter engine and transmission were completely overhauled and work together to offer a drive marked by grace and power. This car only has one drawback: you might be torn to preserve it as it is certain to accrue in value, but, once you grab its black leather wheel, you’ll never want to let go. Our advice would be to conserve it with care, both in the garage and on the road.
