You can see the Coronado Bridge in San Diego at the end. That Bridge was only 4 years old in this commercial. I don't know the woman's name, but this Actress can be seen in the same time period wearing the same big ridiculous wig. She's looking like a young Phyllis Diller

They should at least put real tailgates on their SUVs. Today's swing-up doors are fine for normal loading, but they can't support long lumber or a carpet.

Ford needs to bring back a full size car with a V8 engine. Maybe V6. I had a Grand Marquis that was so dependable, I put 200,000 mi in it with no major problems

Every time some maker introduce a " sport wagon " it flops. Dodge had the Magnum wagon, they put a V8 in it and was cheaper than a mustang or Camaro and it still flopped. The average consumer says why should I buy a wagon when I can get an SUV.

wow a lady in my neighborhood growing up - Mrs Milstead - had the first ‘72 Country Squire exactly like this one in yellow - and they all had their carpool days! - all the moms drove big wagons with fake wood paneling and a luggage rack - ah, life before wretched minivans and SUVs! take me back!

Big hair was the fashion in the early 70's. Remember what was the top 10 hits on the chart in 72? Polyester clothes was king. And auto manufacturers liked it.

@@OsbornTramain I'm from Michigan but I remember commercial when I was a kid when the woman took the salesman on a long trip. My father was a car salesman and I ended up being a car salesman that's why I remember.

26 bags of grass seed skip how many grocery bag would fit. no air shocks needed, tough bushings. Wonder how much bounce was left.. feature commercial weight and towing capacity information. Sell to the housewife. All the wagons where great especially the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser w/ the W-33 package.

That is the San Diego-Coronado Bridge, locally referred to as the Coronado Bridge. I lived in Coronado from 1976 to 1985 and been on that bridge many times.
