Yes please it would be great if you could make a video installing the vernier upgrade to the rear Isolastics

I bought a NorVil isolastic head steady when I changed the engine in 1973 (I was glad to see the back of that Combat engine). My memory is that many people felt that they were terrible -- that came as news to the team at Thruxton as they used them on all the works production racers. Mine gave much steadier cornering "mid speed" and didn't make any difference to the vibration. One thing that I noticed was that it went right on with no binding or forcing into place and maybe that makes a difference. Since it used stock rubbers with a shortened outer tube (and thus a shortened inner spacer tube as well, of course) and stock shims, I suppose that a vernier kit could be easily adapted. I will try that next time I service my isolastics. Thanks for the helpful videos.

Just come to swap out the original HS rubbers on my mk2 and have to say, yours came out dead easy. Both of mine have split, despite the double nut technique, leaving both halves seized into the frame. Nothing is ever easy eh? 😉

Hi, sorry you had a rough time of it. I can’t even face doing the real ones! That’s a job for another year 😉 Hope everything goes well with yours. Cheers, Mike

@@TheMightyGarage We got there with a little gentle persuasion with the universal spanner (molegrips). Yeah, the rear Iso's look like a sure recipe for some hard-core cussing 😀
