Sounds like the choke is on through the entire test drive, or the jets are too big on the carbs. Puzzled by the wheels - are those hubcaps or actual five lug wheels? If the latter I'm curious if the suspension is off a 914-6, which would make the car more valuable. I'm guessing the car was rear ended but it appears they did a nice job with repairs. The car would need a thorough inspection for rust coming from (presuming based on area code) Maryland. Looks like you were asking $40K and I hope you got it!

The gold porsche lettering on the engine cover was for the 914-6 all 4 cyclinder cars where silver. The engines run so much better with the stock D jet or L jet not carbs

Not true. My 72 914 is all original and has gold lettering. I am the only owner.

Daily driver? Are you nuts? It can be be a daily driver only in a climate where there is no winter; otherwise it will rust to death. 914 bodies were not galvanized. The two liter engine is peppy - I don’t think so. The 2 liter made 99HP - beware of short highway entrance ramps. Too much salesman BS happy talk in this video. 914s are really fun cars, they handle wonderfully. I’ve owned two. My current one has a well executed 3.2L engine swap with a 915 gearbox. Now that car is really fun.

Oh come on David....99HP isn't awful for such a light car - but it sure doesn't hold a candle to your 3.2 conversion lol! I checked your channel and was hoping you have a video posted of the car - any chance you can do a walk around and drive video? Curious how the 915 swap went and how you handled oil cooling.
