Bought this bike, I can assure you the tires are original, checked the date codes!! This IS a perfect time capsule,I had the same one in 74, Bought it brand new $950.00 I was 14, Took all the lights off and rode it in the woods for 2 years ( Fantastic trail bike) when I turned 16 I cleaned it real well put all the lights back on and rode it on the street for 2 years and traded it for a 550 street bike. NOW I have a MINT all original copy!!! THANKS KEN !!!!!!
I had one of those back in the day. Bought it off my girlfriend's uncle in 1977 for $450.00 with 1500 miles on it. Looked like new. Rode the piss out of it. VERY reliable bike. Would give almost ANYTHING to have another one. 1st bike I ever owned.
@@KaplanCycles Hey Ken yes, my Apache was a silver base coat with the orange & blue accents. What a bike, I road it all over the base and to the beach, even short jaunts on the freeway in San Diego Naval station.👍

Just bought one of these bikes. It sure is a project but I’m excited to get started abs for 350 dollars it will be a great learning experience even if it doesn’t work
Makes me miss mine (sort of). I geared mine up and it would take freeway speed without trouble. My rear brakes stuck and I still find myself lifting up on the rear brake lever sometimes, over 15 years later. Hope this one found a good home.
I just found the exact bike in a garage sale yesterday and it says 550cc on the motor but the bike looks like this one in the video... Is it a 2 stroke or 4 stroke cause my exhaust comes up from the bottom not on the top like his is can somebody please help me
U cant do that in the states either. At least not all of em different states all have different laws so it's you know....... super easy to remeber all the different rules and generally really great for road tripping and crossing state lines.......jk.
My guess is the tires aren't original. They're styled after the tires of the era tho. Treads look just like the original Bridgestone tires that came on dad's '76 TS125
