1980 Dodge W200 Teardown

This time at the Quick Speed Shop I'm tearing down my 1980 Dodge W200 truck in preparation for a chassis and cab swap. I fire the truck up, get it in the shop and then remove the front clip, engine, transmission, and transfer case. Everything is rusty, let's see if I can get it apart.

Good job, i have never had much to do with Dodges, but my boss has always been a Dodge guy, so I have been learning, i ran into the same bell housing issue, after i had it apart i ground away the area where the flywheel hit, what is extra odd is they do not hit by much so you only have to grind a little.

Yeah, I'm going to do the same thing to the bellhousing on this engine. Should be able to slip the bell off the dowels and then up and off the flywheel.

I would like to pull my 360 out over the winter which is mated to an np435 as well in a dodge D100. Would it have been easier to pull the motor and np435 together and then disconnect them once both are out? This is going to be my first time doing this, and everything I have read discusses how much of a nightmare this can be. Pretty stressed lol.

Yes, pull both. The flywheel is too large to allow the bell housing to come off without taking the flywheel off thru the bottom of the bellhousing. Look at my playlist on this truck when I put the engine back in the chassis and you'll see what I mean.
