1982 Los Angeles Supercross 

Man, I do enjoy watching the greats ride again. Thank you for letting me remember my youth.

This was my first time watching a Supercross race! Such an epic battle down to the wire for the title.

Even though Yamaha had a water cooled 250 for 1982 most racers opted to use the air cooled 81 motor in the new frame because of the poor handling and reliability of the radiator on the handlebars.....look closely and you can see the air cooled heads on Bells and Glover’s bikes, and no radiator on the bars. Yamaha fixed this for 1983 and they were a much improved machine.

My 1982 YZ250 was water cooled. Nah nah na na nahh nahh.

Can't even hear the bikes, horrible sound ..
