In this video I am taking care of my leaking master cylinder. I thought it was just to O-Ring that needed replacing but come to find out the entire cylinder needs to be swapped. Found the right part and here is how to install it.

And for those that might be wondering, if you have a leak at the booster it's always going to be the internal seals on the master cylinder, the larger ring is to keep vacuum in the booster, so if you see fluid, it's getting past both the internal seals and that Oring.

Jeeze, I hope my brakes work. I didn't know about the whole Girling/ATE thing. I just installed a new brake booster and master cylinder and went for it. Everything is bled, but I have not driven it yet as other work needs to be finished.

As long as there are no leaks or air in the system sounds like you should be good. What other work you have to do with yours?

Was there no hose clamp on the lil' hose-to-plastic-reservoir connection? I'm also not sure if this was a previous owner thing or not, (yay used early 944s) but mine came with a lil' round clampy clamp there.

Yes there is a clamp and I completely forgot to put it back on during the video. I have a new hose ordered so waiting for that to come in and will be able to install the hose and clamp.

How did you bleed the master cylinder? I’m having trouble

Hey Nathan! You would connect your bleed line to the slave cylinder and bleed from there

is bench bleeding necessary for the master cylinder?

That is a great question and I'm not 100% sure on it. I know I didn't bench bleed mine and everything worked out and I don't remember seeing anything in the Porsche manual to bench bleed it.
