The greatest track in North america hands down. I was in even into racing until 1988 when I saw IMSA GTP cars. The first cart race I saw here was a 1995. I live in Cincinnatiand it's a bit of a trek to come up there. But it is well worth it
canuck406 the four races that NASCAR has posted are (in this order) 2011 Ford 400 (it was put under a different name for some reason [it was put under watch Carl and Tony race for the championship again]), 1991 & 1992 spring Bristol races, & the 1979 Daytona 500. I hope they post more old races too.
Thanks for uploading these classic races. Would love to see some that have not already been UL'd by others. 1970's and early 1980's if you have them ...please!
I'd say Walkens Glen would fit that title better. It has a lot of straightaway and a flat out uphill s-curve that's similar to Eau Rouge, only at Walkens Glen the "S" starts with a right instead of a left.
They had them but it took a major incident otherwise it was all local yellows, and it wasn't uncommon to just tow the cars a few feet off the track and leave them parked there. Regular full course yellows and completely clearing vehicles from the edge the track is something that has really only come about in road racing in the last 20 years.
Probably more like telemetry information for use on the broadcast, like they have today. IIRC, I remember them talking about that as a 'new tech' during the '91 or '92 Indy 500.
