Part 20: The 1991 Chevrolet (Chevy) Project Shop Truck is going to get air conditioning. In Texas, it is a must if you want to drive your truck in the summer without sweating too much. And, if you expect your girlfriend or wife to buy into your project, a/c will help. The previous project truck had the original style R4 rotary compressor. The factory LS motors have a low mount sanden compressor. Which one is better? Which one will work best on your project? Stay tuned to find out what we went with.

Parts used:
1) Dirty Dingo LS Low Mount AC Combo Kit #DD-LA-SD7B10-LM-KIT-TR $419.99
amzn.to/3IZl1F8
2) Sanden AC Compressor Fittings DD-LS-508-F $19.99
www.dirtydingo.com/shop/advan...
tax $34.65
Total for this project: $474.63
Oddly enough, the kit for the a/c parts cannot be found on the Dirty Dingo Site using the above part # even though it shipped from DD. It may be a specific # used by Amazon. The part # for the fittings is on the DD site, but not on Amazon.
As I mentioned in the video, I wanted to post up what the parts cost. However, I did not want to add this expense to the total of the project truck. Reason? It is optional and a lot of people may choose not to run a/c. In my case I will need it and made the decision to go this route.
