The 38th National Basketball Association All-Star Game was played on February 7, 1988, at Chicago Stadium in Chicago. The East won the game 138-133 and Michael Jordan (who scored a game-high 40 points) was named the NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player (MVP).

Its hard to tell if this is an all star game or game 7 of the NBA finals, look at how they play and want to beat each other, the awsome competetive nature that is displayed, its changed so much over the years from a competetive intense game, to a fun happy lighthearted game, welcome to the cupcake era.

@@thedaydreamer7972 Facts! All star team then had a roster of mostly hall of famers. All star today most of the players would be role players and not an all star. Today's all star games is pathetic. Zero defensive effort. An era of soft players who benefited from the hand check rules and lack of inside players who are superstars. The game today is designed to look like video games.

@@jendayiKa Not only has the entire nature of sports changed but its in groove with the times, people are soft, entitled and get easily offended by anything that is remotely controversial,,,,Here is a good example, do you remember the movie airplane in the 80s? There was a scene where the 2 black guys on the plane were speaking jive, THOSE guys were the ones who wrote that entire bit, not the producers, can you imagine that scene now? @@andypetrovich2155 The most repeated and idiotic myth ever. On any given game, for every call he had in his favor, there were 2 or 3 where he should've been on the FT line. He even score MORE points the year BEFORE they changed rule about triple teaming players... 37 points per game while triple teams were allowed. 35 the year the so-called "Jordan Rule" was enacted. All of these rules that supposedly were changed to help him (which is weird, as rules apply to ALL players), never really resulted in any difference in his stat sheet. You're a huge dumbass. Congrats.
