Hi! When you had the drive shaft out, you should also cleaned up well in the drive shaft tunnel, and the steering rod tunnel. All the dirt you have in there makes those tunnels to one of the worst rust spots on this cars. Clean it up. If you have some surface rust, clean that up and put rust killer and body protection spray or something in there... Did you try to unscrew the wheel centering pin bolt with a wicegrip plier before you cut it off? To cut it was some of the worst thing you could do...hehe Now it is even worse to get it out. The stuck torx screw you could use a very thin disc on the 5" angle grinder and make a cut that you can use a big flat screwdriver. If you have new good tires, you should also done a wheel linement after this job. If not, you will wear out the tires too fast. If it was only the CV joint that was toast, you should not need to replace the entire drive shat and the inner tripod. Its possible to buy only the CV joint alone. Keep up the good work... SAAB on pal...
Looks good man. Completely restoring my '89 SPG as well. There's a hard coolant line on the driver side of the block that always gives me issues. Glad to see the control arms, tire rod, and axles before I tackle all of that.
