The SPG is cool. Had an 89 with the bigger injectors and Swedish Dynamics APC upgrade. Around 240hp and 2600 pounds, it was very fast on boost. No LSD made it a sudden lane changer when boost hit. You could mat it from a stoplight, and it would feel like a 4 cyl until it hit 3800RPM, and then all hell broke loose with a big boost whistle, the front end lifting a bit and alternate tires breaking loose to red line in second. Unruly monster, definitely the uncivilized psychotic Dad of the Viggen. Plus that Darth Vader look with the whaletail, a set of 9000 Aero rims and the rear window louvers. Never should have sold it....

Hello, Awesome find! How is the Saab restoration coming along? I have an '88 SPG same colour. Unfortunately, the engine is in pieces and I too am trying to restore back to road use.
Hugh Henry not much is able to go on right about now. My daily driver is my priority to fix right now. (07 9-3 aero combi) but this winter I plan on starting the rust repair on the rear of the car and coating underneath of it with por15. I did make the car run way better and adjust timing and it runs and drives as it should.
