This is not the way to take off the water pump you first remove the fan shroud then you remove the fan with the clutch assembly it's an inch and a half wrench and you got to be able to hold the pulley that's attached to the water pump it is a right hand thread once you get fat off the rest is easy just take off the pulley bolts and take out the four bolts holding the water pump but by now you should have had all the hoses disconnected and water drained

Hey your fan blade is bent. That can cause the water pump to fail prematurely due to a balance issue. I have the same engine in my 89 f150. Is the pump still working?

Truck need a fan shroud.
