Hello everyone, this is a mostly well detailed step by step guide on replacing your faulty, or worn out water pump for your 1987-1991 Ford 4.9L 300 CID. With this episode you will successfully be able to do this install without the mess of silicone RTV. I hope this can help several people in need of an easy to follow walkthrough, and I hope it inspires you to repair and fix your own modern classic!

Outstanding video! Thank you so much for the steps involved and including the torque specs.I have to change my pump on a 92 f-150 with the same engine as yours. Keep up the great work!

Thanks. My 79 started dripping at the lower rad hose. Followed it up and yep, right behind the pump pully. Bleh. Well, Just have to lift out the aluminum rad and E fan. Then go.
