Literally in my lifetime have never seen a horse enter a ring with the presence, cadence and trot of this stunning gelding. Michelle did always say he was tough to ride and I believe it!! Mitch did a fantastic job, he was jittery on the reverse but came back strong!! Ive never seen the videos of Michelle riding him, only short clips.

Welcome back. That class was insane. I wasn't surprised when he was a little wonky on the park trot. He was almost a baby competing against older, more experienced horses. The crowd was explosive. You would have thought it was the five gaited championship with Mitch on Skywatch. I knew he would settle in on the rework. That horse always seemed to know when the chips were down and it was time for his breathtaking trot. He always gave it his all on the final pass. While I respect and enjoy all of our four legged athletes, I have to plead guilty to a bias for a big, bold, chestnut walk trot athlete. He certainly was the gold standard.
I first showed in Freedom Hall in 1976 at Arabian Nationals. I started with Saddlebreds, so I was thrilled to be there. Showed at seven other Nationals. Thank you for these videos!

You wouldn’t happen to have video of the Junior Three Gaited World’s Champion, Supreme Admiral’s Premier, would you? Big bay horse, one blue eye, with Sonny Sutton. I think it was 1993, but I could be wrong!
lol. I remember as a groom, Sonny almost running me down with that horse. I basically had to dive UNDER the walk-trot I was groom for, he passed so close... Bless his heart.
@@bobhackney3870 WHOA! Sounds like you had some quick moves (and a great walk-trot horse of your own to not get trampled in that scenario...). I owned Supreme Admiral's Premier for many years after Sonny had him. Thank you for sharing this story! It's a wild visual to think about!!
