1993 Yamaha Super Ténéré XTZ 750 - Adventure Bike on a Budget

I bought my previous 1993 XTZ 750 6 years ago for 14.000 (thats about $1400) sold it for 20.000. And now I paid 32.000 for this same year model. So prices gone up over the last years, they are getting very popular. The only mod I have done so far I put crash bars on it. It´s a big heavy bike and very comfortable, handles great on both street and dirt-roads.

Verkligen ÄLSKAR den cykeln! Har själv kört nya äventyrscyklar senaste åren. Just nu är jag utan cykel och letar efter nånting att köpa. Och en sån här äldre modell är verkligen någonting man är sjukt sugen på! Känns också som att det är lagom mycket pengar att lägga om man inte har tid att köra så mycket heller.

Kan bara hålla med, fantastisk hoj, detta är min andra XTZ750. Otroligt sköna att köra och tillräckligt med hp för både landsväg och skogsvägar.

Så är det absolut, det finns så många grusvägar, den största anledningen till varför jag sålde min Speed Triple.

It was a good buy mate and I hope you keep this one, the price is only going to go up as they become more sought after. If I was taller, I would be looking for similar or the original Africa Twin. Those solar panels are becoming more popular here also. I think the cost of panels has come down making them more affordable.

It’s funny how tourists look like tourists. The bike seems to be running like a fine Swiss watch 👍. On a side note, I’ve been watching videos of people eating that fermented fish from your part of the world and how they gag and throw up 🤣🤣🤣. Ride safe bro.

I think they dress in a way you can spot them easily 😆 They say the swedish delicacy known as surströmming (fermented herring) is pretty much the world's stinkiest food, I have never tried it and never will 🤮🤣

Im actually hopefully buying the same bike soon. If the bike i found indeed is in the mint condition as advertised by the seller i wont even bargain for the price. I like this bike a lot, i like everything about it, to me it looks beautiful! I will use it very casually mostly on tarmac, i wont let it rust, it will be in mint condition! Maybe one day i go on a tour with my friends who knows?! Genuine question since you do seem to know about bikes a lot more that i do: What is something that you wish this bike had comparing to modern day bikes, you know something that can not be added, like the fuel gage? And do you think im making a mistake buying this old bike and not the new Tenere 700 for ~ 1.5k Euros more?

If it's in mint condition buy it! These bikes hold their value if they are in good condition. The only thing I wish it have is ABS and maybe a 6th gear, but thats minor complaints. All other fancy stuff you get with the T700 is not worth the price difference IMO.

@@GurrasGarage Thank you so much for the reply :) Yeah i agree fully with you! I dont really care much about new tech, not sure how i feel about the ABS, it seems like this bike can stop properly. I will probably update the suspension and add crash bars. Just hoping the bike is mint, the guy even asked me not to ride it offroad, it was never dropped once, so he doesn't want me dropping it :D hopefully i dont.
