Nadia is the reason for my passion for gymnastics. As a five year old watching her on T.V, I wanted to fly like her and be like her. Nadia is the greatest thing to have happened to gymnastics. Thank you Nadia for my passion and my ability to draw when I could not do gymnastics any more (my first drawing was of Nadia)
Parts of this series brought tears to my eyes. I hated the way that brutal dictator Ceaușescu treated her. I also hated how she was treated when she first arrived in the USA. Our state department had to know that she knew very little about freedom. They should have separated her Panait, at least for couple of days, provided her with a place to stay, a little money if she needed it, and an advisor that would answer all her questions and explain her right, help her contact the Karolyi's and others, and show her around until she felt comfortable to be on her on. After a few day, if she wanted to be with Panait, she could then contact him, but would not have. Panait probably wanted to get into her pants, but certainly he saw her as a gold mind that he wanted to own and control. However, I am so glad that she is doing wonderful now. She has earned it.
Me encanto TU Historia Nadia Fuiste o Eres la mejor gymnasta del Mundo tu perseverancia tu entrega te hicieron UNICA un Gran Ejemplo a Seguir Dios te Colme de Bendiciones Siempre
I worked for a short while in early 2000 in the small town of Onesti where Nadia had grown up and the place she called home. She was a legend there and part of a national folklore. I remember a big sports center, a giant complex was being built there and it was to be named after her. That was 20 years ago and I am sure it is now finished and running at full capacity. The Olympics turned a simple girl into a celebrity of world class and this girl grew to be the most admired Romanian celebrity to this very day. I don't think anybody would ever top that in our lifetime.
Stunning an inspiration to me of perseverance, strength, determination, courage, brilliance & beauty . A definite perfect 10 to all I am so happy that she has found the love of her life her husband and child and that she has a wonderful life very very blessed always and forever . ♥️
Nope it's not...She never actually left her country, she just found the love of her life in a far place.I love Nadia, I used to watch her on TV the time I still didn't know how to read, I just heard her name mentioned by the hosts, I was just fascinated by her skills, especially when she started tumbling I thought she was flying jejeje. She's great..Love her... from the Philippines Mabuhay!
Neo Theone NOT,NOT. SHE WORKED VERY HARD. NOT THE REGIMEN. DO NOT TURN THE HISTORY. BUT SHE HAD NOT ANOTHER SPACE TO KNOW THAT WHAT HAPPEN BECAUSE THE TOTALITARISM
Romania didn't make Nadia who she is....Nadia did that all on her own. She put Romania on the map! Nadia loves country but because of the communist system and the horrible way she was treated...she was left with no choice but to leave. So glad she got to return to her homeland with such honor. She continues to visit Romania many times a year and the things she has done and continues to do for the Romanian people is just amazing!!
