I was 16 when this game was played and had forgotten about it. We were so spoiled during the 90s, except for the Natty season, I forgot about so many of our wins, and only recall the losses, like Colorado, @MSU, Notre Dame & Ohio St, but had forgotten this last second win. For years I forgot how the 92' season ended with Michigan undefeated but sporting 3 ties. When I watched the Ohio St replay from 92 recently and saw Elvis Grbac go out of the game after he ran for a TD in the 1st quarter, I started to remember the game, but I remembered more how I felt as our offense could not move the ball after Grbac got hurt. It really felt like an "L", as it ended somewhat like this game, Ohio having to score on their final drive on their final offensive play of the game.
I was 15 when this game was played. I was pissed watching the game by myself and as soon as the third quarter starts my dad comes in from the garage bleeding like a stuck pig - he was doing some woodworking and ran a chisel right into his thumb and cut it to the bone. Had to go with him to the hospital so he could get stitches and when Hayes caught this TD the whole waiting room of dads and me exploded in cheers. Got yelled at by the staff lmao
UVA was 9-4 . Besides this heart breaker they lost at Texas by 1 on a 50 yard FG into the win . Blew a 2 td 4th qtr lead in a 3 pt loss vs UNC and lost to Va.Tech on a last minute td! They could've easily been 12-1 .
what a great way to kick the year off with I remember this game I was so pissed the first 3 quarters then the boys pulled there heads out of there ass and squeezed out a close one . WHO'S GOT IT BETTER THAN US? NOBODY !!!!!!!!!! GO BLUE
