Thinking about getting an f350 5.8l 4x4 what's ur opinion on the life of the transfer case if you have one and the engine itself. The truck I'm looking at has a utility box and hopefully aircraft grade business maintenance so I'm really just trying to tackle any issues head on
@@Dragonstorm1557GAMING Oh, don’t get a 350 with a gas motor, you won’t be able to use for utilitarian purposes, get the 7.3 powerstroke. It’s reliable, and it runs on anything(you can put fry oil in it)
@keanumemes9110 I ended up scraping the idea of getting a vehicle and just moved right next to my job with my new girlfriend. Something like a 7.3 is really on my mind. But I'm also just thinking about getting a 1/2 ton since at this current time I have nothing to haul and have never even owned a truck before.
@@Dragonstorm1557GAMING Well, if you’re not using for hauling, then a gas engine could work good, but the gas engines need to use more fuel because of the bigger truck. I’d say just get the 7.3 anyway because efficiency would be better.
@@Dragonstorm1557GAMING 7.3s are going for a lot money right now. i would get a 460 or 351 as they are cheaper for the same amount of miles that a 7.3 is selling for nowadays. nothing wrong with those engines if you arent doing 10k+ towing.
@@Starkid1236offical the pipes he ran were way to small or his recording messed something up, I have a Windsor 351 with dual pipes 2 3/4th and does not sound anything like that and it's efi
@@donavanbane5069 idk it sounds fine My videos sound near exactly how they are in the real world just no bass to any of the audio or drone ru-vid.comnFNZJ_vNq7E?feature=share
Had straight pipes on my 5.8, added 2 flow master 10 series, helmholtz resonators and an H pipe. Sounds less like a farm truck, got rid of the high tone raspiness and no highway drone when cruising.
I straight piped my 92 f150 flareside that has a 351w in it. Didnt cut the cat though. Should have, but i have the 2.5 in pipe and it does not sound like that.
You mind making a driving video of ur truck i gotta 93 f150 with straight pipes running out the passenger i was just wondering what it sounded like driving thanks
I got long tube headers and true dual 2 1/4 straight pipes with 6inch tips on my 95 f150 5.0. It can be heard from miles away I have videos of it on my channel.
Hey man, I got a 96 F250 5.8 Windsor and I cut the muffler off yesterday. Sounds nothing like yours. Do you take the resonator behind the muffler out as well? If so, isn’t there a sensor on the second cat/resonator on the 96 351s? I’m just trying to figure out what I need to do to make this pig sound mean. Thanks in advance.
@@jaycobyhyde2742 He should get some flowmaster super 10 mufflers for it. A couple super 10s and an off-road X-pipe and this motor would sound like it came straight outta the 9th circle of hell
Trikxscopes a 98 f150 4.6 v8 comes with 4 cats and a muffler.. true dual with 2 cats and no muffler is loud but has a little bit of "clapping". With all four cats and no muffler it doesnt have "clapping" and its not loud but can be heard.. of coarse mines gonna sound different than yours because yours is a 5.0 but just giving you the sounds from a v8 Ford
These trucks only have 1 o2 censor and it's in front of the cats. If you keep the stock manifolds or install shorty headers you don't have to worry about the censor. Now if you install long tube headers like I did Then the censor goes in the passenger side header.
@@waynehavard3469 I did long tube headers and true dual 2 1/4 straight pipes with 6inch tips on my 95. Sounded bout the same but the tips made it louder and echo more.
I bought 2 since I asked this question. I have since figured out only the Bronco had a 5.8 with maf. I want to put a 5.0 OBD2 harness and computer on my 5.8. Primarily for the tune-ability I want a MAF sensor.
