I finally saw you get dirty. Those run about 50 mph when you get them going. Great hobby. I was shocked when I found out those just have that graphite ring seal keeping water coming in from the driveshaft.
I really enjoy and appreciate your content. Keep up the great work. I look forward to a possible Yamaha xlt1800 complete tear down and rebuild in the future. Hint hint
@@papadonjetski9535 yes. I think it needs a totally new engine. The top end was rebuilt but it had a failure and the middle piston was destroyed. The previous owner said a rod bearing may have gone.
@@papadonjetski9535 I'm also rebuilding a 1996 seadoo gtx. I'm replacing the fuel lines and oil lines. I have ordered a rebuild kit for the carbs. It may need a magneto or stator. The previous owner was having trouble starting it. I checked the starter and had it bench tested. Starter was fine. There is bad fuel in it. I see the green goo so that's why I'm checking the fuel system. I've been watching your videos closely and they have helped tremendously.
I hope I''m answering your question correctly. l pulled the carbone ring and support ring back on the drive shaft in order to remove the circlip. I then removed the clamps on the rubber boot and pulled the drive shaft out of the engine from the rear of the ski.
Hey man, I recently bought a 1999 seadoo xp limited. I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find a straight answer as to which kind of fuel I should use. 87 93 100%gasoline etc. any recommendations would be great
Well, I'm certainly not an expert on fuel, but my recommendation is to buy ethanol free gasoline if available. Out of convenience I've run both 93 and 87 in my skis, but I think the best choice would be ethanol free.
@@papadonjetski9535 is there anyway I could call you I've had my ski out twice & it's 1997 Sea-Doo GTX compression is 145 on both cylinder's. Do you have a contact number ?
