Glad you're doing a polaris electrical video. I've worked on a lot of atvs, and have never dealt with the electrical gremlins my '02 500 Scrambler has. Ready to push this thing out to the road
Polaris are notorious for electrical issues unfortunately. Connectors with corrosion build up can be submerged in vinegar to clean them off. After cleaning, a nice tuneup with dielectric grease will help prevent future problems. Anyone experiencing electrical issues should always start with ground wires and connections. Despite popular belief, electricity actually flows from; the ground (battery source) to the positive side (load) on Direct Current DC circuits. Once this concept is understood, it will become more easier to troubleshoot.
@@smallgaragehustle That's some funny stuff right there! I had to check my video's. It wasn't a separate video. It was my get rid of the ecm video. When I made that one back then I thought, I should do a video on vinegar and salt...never did. Thanks for being a long time subscriber. Always good to hear your input.
Thanks for your videos my guy. Have referred to yours and a channel called ericfromalaska he does some work on a 99 500 sportsman which is what i have, but from electrical to fuel delivery and everything in between your videos helped a lot so just saying thanks.
