I feel like those late 90's Vikings teams are very much an underrated team in terms of impact considering just how much of a look into the future of run and gun offenses that they presented.
@@hazydaze1170 I'm pretty certain on one of the NFL Top 10's, Carl Banks suggested that Andre Rison also had better physical attributes then Jerry did - but that Andre's ultimate failing was that he was satisfied with being 'just' good, and not committed to improving his craft like Rice was.
We were all robbed of what would have been an EPIC NFC title showdown in 1998: 49ers vs Vikings; Young, Rice, Stokes, Owens and Hearst VS Cunningham, Carter, Moss, Reed and Robert Smith. Instead, Hearst gets injured first play against the Dirty Birds in the Divisional roundand the rest is history.
imagine some of these qbs back in the 90s playing in todays style of offenses, more shot guns, read options, i mean guys like cunningham and vick and young still ran that ball but not like they do now, alot of times the qbs were always under center in these games,
And the barefoot kicker is a funny throwback. I wonder when the last barefoot kicker played in the NFL. With the new kickoff, it seems doubtful that there would ever be another, since the kickers are now expected to actually tackle. Probably not advisable with one shoe off…
RU-vid downloads are not interlaced. That being said though, I would never use RU-vid downloads as an enhancement source unless they look great to begin with and are posted in 720 or 1080p. Otherwise they are laden with compression and are likely copies of copies. I only use first-generation game sources on collector DVDs as I want to start with the best possible source. Otherwise you are already settling for less and starting several steps behind the 8-ball.
@@davevolskysbackdoor5673 the fact that you are even willing to reply to questions is awesome and the speed at which you reply is even cooler. So if I’m hearing you correctly, it’s not worth the time to try and download them enhance a game as it won’t look much different? I have a fairly decent DVD collection but again it’s usually a copy of a copy. But the bullet on topaz AI…a lot of learning my doing on my end. So far a lot of doing and not as much learning.
I personally avoid RU-vid downloads like the plague when it comes to enhancement purposes :) If though the source looks pretty nice and is at least 720p then I might take a chance on it. If it's only 480p or god forbid 360 then no way - not unless it's something I can't live without. I've gotten easily over a thousand broadcast games on DVD over the past 16 months from subscribers of mine via trades or donations. Most were already digitized to hard drives, but I've also had to copy several hundred physical DVDs to my hard drives as well. I don't deal with physical DVDs anymore and instead choose to have them all on the hard drive for immediate access as well as backups, etc. The Topaz side of things is actually pretty straightforward - not a lot to do there for the most part - just let the PC do the work. It's when I take THAT render into Resolve that I get more hands-on with the editing, contrast, and color. Your mileage may vary. I was about to copy and paste from another comment my tips on how to use Topaz but then I noticed that I actually replied to you specifically 4 months ago with that info :)
@@davevolskysbackdoor5673 yes that was me. Noticed the older games from the 70s/80s and was really impressed. Then you started uploading games from the 90s and it literally feels like watching these for the first time with the new quality. Your 94 NFC Championship upload was pure gold. My cousin and I spent a Friday night rewatching it start to finish. That’s when I bit the bullet and bought Topaz AI. I admit I’m on the struggle bus a little but I’m learning. Got a bunch of games uploaded on my channel but set to private. I’m basically using RU-vid as a mobile hard drive but afraid of listing them as public. Want to avoid the copyright. If you upload the 97 Broncos or 98 Vikings it’ll be like Christmas. Thanks for the coaching session and the uploads, they’re awesome!
