Carly told Tony the baby was his because she believed it was. She wanted it to be his. As she said, she was stupid enough to fall in love with him and believe he really loved her. Instead, when things got tough, he bailed, just like he did with Bobbie. If she had told Tony about AJ, hw would not have believed her any more than he did when she told him that Jason was the father. Even after this, he still insisted the baby was his. Tony fooled himself. And Carly was right. If he had been able to forgive Carly for the file fiasco, and told her he still loved her, he could have had his dream son. I have little sympathy for Tony or Carly in this situation. Tony was a jerk, and Carly was a bitch. But in this scene, I have to lean to Carly. Tony verbally attacking a patient who has just given birth and almost died and who had to have surgery, He would have severely disciplined or even fired a doctor who was working for him, that he caught doing that. It show’s just how unstable he was. No doctor would have done something like that. Hell, no reasonable human would have done such a thing. It was good that he was not the father. under normal circumstances, Tony was a wonderful person, but he was way over the edge here. And he can’t blame it all on Carly any more than she can blame him for her PPD. But each definitely contributed to the other’s problems. AJ didn’t act like Tony. He was angry, but he did not attack her. In fact, generally speaking he was almost nice, to Carly. It was Jason that he acted the jerk to. And don’t tell me he had a right to, because he didn’t know that. He thought Jason was the father. It did not stop him. But he did not act like Tony and verbally rip Carly to shreds.
No wonder Carly was a mess. Living with Tony all those months and then having Tony come into her room and emotionally and mentally attack her. Plus the physical trauma of the birth. At least Carly realized she was in no shape to take care of a baby. She didn’t recognize that her problem was postpartum depression, but she knew something was wrong, and she did something about it.
Sad thing is mothers today who go through PPD end up with the same stigma as Carly. And risk losing their kids for checking into a facility to get help in 2020. And that's not okay. Tony trying to blame Carly for destroying his marriage. He is the only one who could destroy it, not Carly. AJ has so many good moments. So many decent moments that could be redemption. Like catching Carly coming out of the nursery and helping her back to her room. And sitting there having a good conversation until Jason came in. It's really frustrating that the writers had to make AJ turn nasty as soon as Jason came in the room.
If they didn't recast AJ then he would of been a good father to Michael. But I don't think Jason would want to be Michael's father if he just sticked to the idea of Carly and the baby to leave Port Charles. Because Jason would continue to stay in the mob life without having a kid in the line of fire and that's why. Because that's why Jason did that with Elizabeth and Jake for that same reason.
I agree Michael is a great and strong young man!! I think what they did was wrong and all the fighting was bad for him but unfortunately the kids always get hurt by the fighting and bickering!
Tony was really around the bend. He acts like Carly knew the baby was not his all the time. But as he himself told everyone, there was no way she could know who the father was until it was born. And yet, he kept insisting the baby was his. And, stable? He says he is stable. That would be funny if it was not so sad. He is just making excuses for his own behavior. If he can put all the blame on Carly, he can convince himself that he was a victim.
Yeah, Carly was in a big mess cuz of what we're the signs of post depression! When Carly was Living with Tony for months and she (Carly) thought that he (Tony) loved her (Carly) and he (Tony) was going to be get married to her (Carly) but didn't! This is why Carly was so mess up for the way that both Tony & AJ treated her (Carly) all that time regarding about the baby & so then she (Carly) decided to leave them both & then decided to run for the hills and headoff running to make it to Jason's penthouse becuz of what was going to be happening when those two idiots (Tony and AJ) that they we're going to plan to do to Carly! So what Tony & AJ that they we're planning on gonna to do is hurt Carly & the baby (Michael) was to make them suffer by keep them apart! And that's why they were going to do something bad to Carly & the baby (Michael) when it came time when he (baby Michael) was going to be born & that turn out to be that those two idiots (Tony & AJ) we're going to turn out both of there world's upside down & ruin all of there lives apart & never let them be together as a family - Mom(Carly) & baby (Michael) & also Jason since he was listed as the baby father on the birth certificate of baby (Michael)! So Jason is the father to the baby now (Michael)! OMG Tony the baby was not yours! With the blood test proves that he didn't match your DNA so you need to move on with your life & go back to your family to raise Lucas (your son) that you have left! So now you can leave Carly & Jason and baby (Michael) alone now cuz he's theirs! Cuz it's (Jason's & Carly's) child now to support & to plan to take care of him now! He's not your problem since he (baby Michael) is not your biological child or is not yours to deal with anymore! Cuz now (Carly & baby Michael) don't belong to you & is not part of your family anymore to you or to care of! Now that you know that Jason & Carly and baby (Michael) are the family now! OMG AJ you need to grow up yet! Cuz you being older brother than Jason and you still act like a child! Cuz the way you act & talk you don't know the first thing about how to take care of a child yet! And your older than Jason! Jason has more sense then you do even If Jason had a brain injury couple years ago of what you did to your younger brother Jason & it was your fault!! That's very wrong AJ BIG TIME!!!! You thought your brother Jason was envolent of how to raise & to take care of a child you couldn't be more wrong! Becuz he wasn't that kinda of person that was gonna to keep the baby (Michael) away from his own mother cuz Carly is the Mother & Jason is his father! But Jason took control over the responsibility as a family man becuz he's now is the father of the baby (Michael) cuz he has to take care of both Carly & baby (Michael) cuz they are his (Jason) family now! And now that they have (Jason & Carly) are his (baby Michael) responsibility to care of him now for rest of his life!
If I say keep so and so away from my child thats what I mean. I appreciate if that was done for me no matter how it seemed to anyone else long as the one I trusted did exactly what I asked and if they couldn't thannthwy would let me know and I would figure out something different.
Why didn’t AJ know right then about the blood type. And why didn’t Alan or Monica catch on? They surely knew Jason’s blood type. Did they just never asked the baby’s blood type.
Megan Taylor. Yes, AJ found out the baby had the same blood type as Jason, B+, while AJ had B-. So he assumed that meant Jason was the father. That was his mistake because the B blood type came from AJ and the + factor came from Carly. AJ did not understand this because he did not understand enough about genetics. My question was why did Monica or Alan catch on? They were both Doctors and would know the genetics of the blood types. And surely they knew both boys’ blood types. The only way they would not know that it did not prove that Jason was the father was if they never asked about the baby’s blood type or never heard anyone say what it was. I guess they would have also needed to know Carly’s blood type also. It just seems to me that it would have been the first thing everyone would have been asking about. Of course they might have recognized the possibility of a mistake but preferred to ignore it because they wanted the baby to be Jason’s.
Sure about what? That AJ hadn't told the Qs or that in the video he says the baby's blood type? I may have misunderstood your first sentence. Monica and Alan aren't lab techs, and since the test wasn't theirs or their patients, it would be wrong and illegal for them to look at the results since it doesn't seem like AJ took a blood test since that would raise questions from the Qs. I'm guessing Tony told AJ since he knew he was a possibility as a father.
Rene That has nothing to do with the point I was making. AJ made the comment about whether Jason cared about being a father, while he still believed Jason was the father. Why would he even doubt that Jason cared about being a father? Jason had already demonstrated how much he cared by the way he took responsibility for the decisions that had to be made for the baby and Carly and by how he watched over him all night after the surgery. . I guess because Jason did not gush and talk about it, AJ thought he didn’t care. But Jason would never have talked to AJ or any of the Quartermaines about how he felt, except possibly Emily and Lila. But AJ interpreted it to mean that Jason could be competent in making the decisions and making it through, because he didn’t really care. Which just went to show he did not know his brother. He accepted only what he thought he saw. I think he was just trying to make excuses for not having the fortitude to stick around. That was either his son or his nephew, but he still couldn’t hack it.
Carly wanted the man with the most money, power and influence. She equated love with sex. Jason Morgan used Carly to fulfill his sexual urges. She wanted a family soo bad. She used her body, and schemes to get what she wanted. Not until she fell in love with Sonny, did she know what real love was. Jason was and still is her best friend. She smothers her friends, children and eventually Sonny. Carly is one of the most unique characters since Sonny Corinthos that has ever been written.
Carly was a horrible person to lie so much but still there was blame on Tony trashing his marriage by getting involved with Carly. It seem like Jason was always a jerk toward AJ with the whole father subject and down the line karma came back to Jason on everything bad happening to Michael because of his lifestyle on not being a good father figure at all.
Damien Blaze But when you think about it, Sonny was the one responsible for most of the bad stuff that happened to Michael. If Jason had been able to keep Michael with him, it would probably have been different, because Jason would have been more responsible and careful with Michael. With Sonny everything was about him. With Jason everything would have been about Michael. Jason could only do so much in his role of friend of the family, instead of Michael’s father.
Alice Soefje true true but Jason knew the risks and danger by anyone being in Sonny’s world which any person would see to keep a child away from a line of fire. Even if Jason claimed Michael as his son, the danger would still be there as him being Collateral damage for any of his enemies to come at him or for Michael to be hurt. Remember Jason’s actions was the reason Michael got locked up when he covered Claudia’s murder up, adding up to him being raped in prison when Diane could’ve got Michael off with a self defense charge.
