Its located behind the rear bumper, you should see it if you look up from under the rear bumper, if you need to just follow your tail light wires and it should lead you to this board. 4 plugs are all plugged into it.
Thanks, my cousing has brakes lights, reverse lights and turn signals but the tail light on the left was only getting 0.06 current to it while the right was getting 12.15, then an hour later the right tail light stopped working 😅 I'll look for one of these at Autozone tomorrow and put it on to see if it resolves the problem.
I’m assuming it was dimmer as well I’m having a dimmer reverse light, bulbs are new and so is the harness you reckon I need a new board or may it be a fuse
@@nestorsalazar3713 dimmer lights? Reverse lights I would check fuse first then possibly wiring issues with Is squirrels and chipmunk can destroy a wiring harness. The board is only really a problem in places it snow or someone with a boat who backs the trailer in the water.
@@battleborn528 yes, I switched her fan relay with the light relay and the lights started working, so I just had her purchase a new relay. When that relay went bad on my Trailblazer the headlights stopped working, I didn't know the bad relay could cause the rear lights to get intermittent power, but replacing it solved the problem.
I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado my dome nor my reverse lights worked I replaced “TBC 2A” (Fuse) on the interior fuse box located on the driver side it’s a TRUCK BODY CONTROLLER also, make sure to check “TBC 2B” it’s a truck body controller as well. This fixed my dome and reverse lights problem.
I also have an 04 do you know where the fuse for the license plate lights is & how it’s labeled ? bulbs are good & I have a new harness. I am thinking it’s a fuse want to check before I buy the circuit board
Got a 88 Silverado ...i got brake lights ..turn signals ...brake lights and reverse lights ....and front runnig lights ...but my rear running lights come on ..i get to the gas station two miles away from home shut everything off and boom.... when i go to leave and no tail lights happens every morning on my way to work...need help could this be the problem????
No still same replaced circuit board on frame and switch on pedal. Lights stay on when fuse is pulled out. I don’t know what else to do but go dealership.
My license plate lights flash when I turn on my hazards, hazards come on when I press my brakes, and when my headlights are on my turn signals are stuck lit up. I tried a circuit block from my friend’s truck and it didnt help
I have a 2008 gmc Yukon Denali with after market lights so when I unlock the truck it blinks but when I push the brakes the one on the left side won’t light up
I believe that when you unlock the doors that is your parking lights. So your brake light is your issue. I believe I describe it in the video that you shouldtry first check your fuses and swapping the bulb with another bulb, 2nd trace the wire back from your brake light to the module to see which cable it is. 3rd inspect brake cable and brake light module pins from the left brake light, I believe you could try and swap out left and right cables to see if the issue followes the cable thru might not fit in the opposite jack but worth a try. You might have to remove your spare tire to get access to the module and all the cables. It has been a few years since I worked with it. You can order replacement cables or the brake module if you find that one of these are the issue. Hopefully one of these suggestions help
Here’s a shot in the dark, but could this condition of decay also cause the brake lights to stay on? I replaced the switch, and they’re on with the switch disconnected.
I replaced my tail lights but the assembly doesn’t have tail lights. Signals hyperflash. I’m going to try this to see if I can get my tail lights back, and get my turn signals to not hyperflash
@@apuckett1971 Sometimes it's better to skip the relay and go straight for the relay and replace it with a LED compatible relay. Resistors are inefficient and require proper mounting
Replaced my junction box recently. But currently have rear turn signal issues. Turning on left turn signal will also make left brake light and right turn signal flash along with the left side. Right turn signal is hyper flashing. All my bulbs are good everywhere. Cleaned grounds in several places under truck and under hood. Fuses all good and new flash relay under dash too. No idea what's going on. Think maybe a short in a wire someplace. Driving me to drink!! Haven't checked voltage to sockets yet, but test light lights up solid at both socket grounds and flashes on the other positive side. Any suggestions?
@bluejfishin3995 i did and ended up not being none of this it ended up being the main cables coming from the computer harness since i have way to big rims 22s lowered so my tire would rub and grind against the top of driver side wheel well thats where all the main wires going to computer some them were stripped of due to my tire bumping and grinding on them at bumps and electric taped ones that were broken off which there all just color match
Is all the fuses are good. Disconnect the connectors on the block and look at all the pins if you see green in the connector it's about a guarantee the pin has corroded away.
Jair Alfaro vlogs it ended up being the plug that goes to my tail light was missing a piece of wire on the plug. My circuit board was fine but I cleaned it like 4 times
First step is to check your fuses and bulbs. Since you have no reverse lights I would check all the connectors in the board. Inspect all the pins and connecter for corrosion if you see any green corrosion on the connectors it could be your problem. I really hope this helps. If you are working on a truck it is a lot easier to check trail lights and this board. It could be a cut wire which is harder to track down.
I went to tell my dad about this he wont even listen to me i have no blinker on the passenger side and no break light on driver side wish for once he would listen to me
With no lights at all I would think that could be a bad board, just unplugged or the wires going back could be cut possibly a bad ground wire. I would check all of your fuses first but most likely some of the lights would work if it was fuses. Someone posted below about TCB fuses they are on the driver's side dash but they are usually interior lights, guages, instrument cluster and the sort but I guess also reverse light. If you had no interior lights or cluster was out I would guess tcb1 2 or 3.
@@rizo3336 trace the wire back to the board on the back left of the spare tire mount. Check to make sure it is plugged in if it is unplug the connector for that tail light check all the pins for corrosion and that they are still there. Check your bulbs to if you already checked fuses. You might need to pull out the tail light if everything else looks good. I know Trailblazers have a board on the back of the tail light housing that goes bad. I hope this helps
