I've just ordered a second one of these, it's a great little flyer, and not expensive. My first Qidi kept breaking its nose, it's more glue than foam now! A pop off prop like on the Eachine warbirds would be a good thing on this. I'm getting better at landing now but I'm still going to reinforce it by glueing two strips of carbon fibre along the fuselage. I'm also going to extend the wings to slow it down a bit and give it better gliding characteristics. Not sure if it will work but it's worth a try.

Tinkering with these planes to make them better is one of my passions. You never know until you try. It seems the the equipment bay or battery bay is always the weak spot even on parkjets. I often have to reinforce those areas to prevent a break. I'm glad you're performing some MODs and they will probably make if even better. Good luck on the Wing Extension MOD!

I've been waiting for your review, after you pointed this plane out to me in a previous comment! I flying in an area that isn't flat and often windy. So I've found it rather twitchy...I've been flying this a month now and actually ordered a second. Amazed at the power from 1s. Some things I did...the cowl coming off the front is good to access motor but leaves the front weak. Reinforce the nose with some small balsa sticks n CA!. Before you snap the front off! See RCsaylors video! Control rods for rudder n elevator on mine flex....acces the servo at rear and put some guides in for the rods. I put in some simple metal hoops, helps reduce the flex. Had to increase throws on rudder n Elevator for flying in full manual! After that it flys Super for what it is! but not a beginner plane - I found you gotta be quick on the sticka out off 6g or 3d mode... I like it though fun to fly you really got fly it due to it having "agile" flight characteristics...look at the wing smallish cut off at the ends...! Gentle flying and strong glide characteristics is not what this plane is about! I learnt to fly on a volantex sport cub 500 - it flys nothing like that! Make sure motor mount screws are tight one came out on my first flight....and balance prop, mine was badly off balance and may have been responsible for the loss of the motor mount screw. Do all that...and you should have a fun little STOL type agile plane to fly with enough power for loops.😊

All good tips for this plane. I have 3 flights on mine so far and I'll be publishing those soon. I was surprised at how much power it has for a 1S Brushless Power System. They did a great job on this plane and I think it's a Keeper. It's pretty speedy and not so floaty so mine did remind me of the Volantex Sport Cub 500 ;-) It's funny we both thought of the same comparison but differently. Yes, my prop was fairly unbalanced and I had that fixed before my 1st launch. Balancing the Props is something I always do before launch. The Gyro Modes are just what I like, Fully Stabilized, Wind Mitigation, and Full Manual Mode. A Very Fun and Inexpensive Plane!

Yes my micro emachine uses a 250 mah..so it may work in this if you add a little weight,but flight times would be cut in half at least...thanks

Yes, as long as it can provide the needed amps. With the stock LIPO, flying similar to this flight, I can get approx. 8 minutes of flying leaving 3.6v in the LIPO.

Thanks! Yes, those Hobby-Grade Transmitters always make things much easier. Once I get it all tuned out on the stock TX I'll be using my TX16S as well.

Hi David! I have (3) flights on it so far and I think it's going to be a keeper. I'm still tuning but the stock setup was nice. I usually have to tone down the linkage on most of these planes but on this one I'm actually setting up for more movement on the control surfaces. The stock setup should give everyone a good 1st flight so they did a good job on the initial setup. Very good flight review as always...so does it use same size battery as 400mm emachines as well as same connector..seems like a homerun ...plus it has lights which i don't think you mentioned.

Thanks! I can't remember the size of LIPO those smaller brushed motor planes used. This one came with a 1S 500mah LIPO that has the flat white connector. I didn't mention the lights in this video as I had already published a "1st Look" video of this plane on TinkerzLab and went over all the info.

I just checked out banggood ..in description about this plane it shows a diagram of the board and says you can plug your dsm rx in to its board..so does this mean i can fly it with my dx8? If so this seems awesome..just checking with you since you are on top of all these new rc planes...Great review!

Thanks! I states that it can but I've not tested that yet. I'll be adding an external RX once I get it all tuned and flying on the Stock TX. It seems more and more of these planes have that capability, thankfully.

To connect a sbus receiver what is the order of the connections on the plane card? Is there a way to see it or understand it?

You never know how they are going to order their pins. I always use a multimeter to check which 2 are the voltage and which is the ground. Then the 3rd pin will be the signal pin.

@@GroundControlRC And how can I do with the multimeter? I put it in DC and when I place the pins on the board it always tells me that they have 3.7volts on all the pins. How do you do it? Sorry but I’m new

@@dario_3D When the voltage is reversed on mine it will show -3.7v. Then you'll know which is the voltage.
