I wonder if swapping the oem manifold for stainless with new turbo and better charge piping would make it easier to service in the future. Hopefully knock out 2 birds with one stone, less concern on back ordered parts and upgrage plastic charge tubes🤔
The only part that I've replaced due to failure is a NOX sensor. 104k miles on it now. But I've heard of other owners not being as fortunate. Maybe I got a cherry, maybe they got a lemon, who knows. In my opinion, the only reason GM quit making this motor is because nobody else in the class had a diesel. They didn't get rid of it because it was a bad motor, or obsolete, just cost.
