As a persian, I can confirm that Nahida or Nahid (in Persian ناهید) is another version of Anahita’s name! Anahita or Anahit (in Persian آناهیتا) is the goddess of water and natural blessings such as fertility, rain or health. I also have to say that nilou’s design has more similarities to persian goddesses like anahita, her name is also Persian, nilou or niloufar (in Persian نیلو/نیلوفر) means waterlily and the color blue! and her poses and dances are all persian too 🌊✨
One other somewhat creeeeeeeeepy little detail regarding dreams and Sumeru is that it's implied that only the adults are dreamless. The children presumably still can dream... AND they can see some kind of cute little creatures (mentioned in Sumeru Teaser 2) imperceptible to the adults. I wonder if the two are somehow connected? And if that weren't enough, it reminds me a little of those "imaginary friends" who were once a plot point at the beginning of Venti's story quest before getting completely brushed aside as it switched tracks to a different issue. The sheer weirdness of that quest continues to haunt me to this day, and I can't help but... want it to be re-addressed somehow, somewhere, before it drives me mad >.
@@teyvatato2148 I'm not sure how to deal with the Akasha thing just yet. It's a very new piece of information I haven't fully processed yet >.< But knowing miHoYo's storytelling, I wouldn't be surprised if there was something incredibly dangerous/creepy/not-meant-to-be-known-by-humans in "dreams" that the previous Archon wanted to protect her people from. And I also think that when the Gnosis inevitably falls into Fatui hands, we'll see the Akasha collapse and potentially force the people of Sumeru to confront it. Or... I may be overthinking it and it really is just a crypto wallet for a Wisdom blockchain XD
@@PrincessStabbityPLS omg I hope they adress that thing again! It's the weirdest thing ever that's been forgotten by most players, and the fact that venti's the one who showed it to us reminds me a little about how the dodocommunication device HE gave us was corrupted by kusanali... Venti has a lot of explaining to do regarding his correlation with sumeru devices 🤨 (or maybe it's just because he's the archon so he has access to these very strange devices..? Or maybe it has to do with Alice? (yeah, probably lol))
One weird thing we learned from this trailer is that apparently the title of "Lesser Lord' isn't a mistranslation. She is literally the Lesser Lord, in comparison to the presumed-dead Greater Lord.
@@anyaaa2801 well tbh she is literally a lesser archon shes the newest and the youngest of all the archon it only make sense she's a lesser deity... Of course it can be changed when time flies maybe she will become a greater lord like her predecessor.
It is not wrong to attribute the title of "Lesser lord" to the dendre archon, though i believe her original title in chinese is something like "little lucky Kusanali" or something like that. And the latter fits Paimon's comment about it being "cute" more than the other one during the dialogue with Yae Miko. Even though they have different meaning both are still correct.
Hm... so if every region's Archon Quest directly addresses a seemingly opposite yet integral flaw in their values... Mondstadt has Freedom, but is bound by the DUTY to uphold it... Liyue has its DUTY of Contracts, but even a divine contract has its END... Inazuma's ENDS for Eternity can only be met by embracing not euthymia, but in change's everlasting TRANSIENCE... So would that make Sumeru's TRANSIENT Wisdom a GUILTY IGNORANCE of the truth?
Dottore is turning out to be Genshin's Otto in my opinion. Both of them are doing shady experiments, both have countless clones of themselves, and you can't spell Dottore without Otto. Scaramouche is even like Dottore's K423, K423 is what Otto created as a clone of Kiana. Dottore didn't create Scara but iirc, he experimented on him when Scara joined the Fatui. They are even connnected to giant trees, Dottore with Sumeru's giant tree and Otto with Imaginary tree.
It’s also fitting because when you mention sumeru as the ‘landing’ area, or the center point, it ties into sumeru being the midpoint nation we visit, the changing of celestia from 2d to 3d, and the geographic area of sumeru as potentially in the middle of teyvat.

Although "Teyvat" (ship, ark) isn't the same as "Aron Kodesh," (torah ark, cabinet,) I think it's important to note that both are referred to as arks in English. An ark doesn't just house people escaping calamity, it can house sacred knowledge. The most popular example of this kind of ark, and one that Genshin's creators might have the most exposure to, is the Ark of the Covenant as seen in Indiana Jones. The ark that houses sacred texts, specifically the 10 Commandments passed down to Moses, which appears in popular media and pop cultural myths. And you know that famous phrase "Teyvat has its own laws" isn't too far from "The Ark has its own Commandments." Maybe there's a reason Teyvat is so strongly centered around divinity.
There's also mentions of Ark in the lore of the Primordial One, who came to Teyvat from somewhere else and might be the reason why it carries that name to begin with.
@@skybound126 I'm literally Jewish, this isn't me disparaging my own religion. I'm pointing out how the developers at Hoyoverse - who live in China and thus aren't likely to know any Jewish, Christian, or Muslim people - only have a point of first contact with some cultures through pop culture. They aren't pulling from Gnosticism and Ars Goetia because they know a lot of Gnostic Christians, they pull from it because it keeps showing up in anime and manga. one thing that I find particularly interesting is that in the newest trailer for sumeru they say the people of sumeru can’t dream, yet at the end of the fatui trailer we see collei having a vision or “dream” almost.
Well Collie isn't an Adult since she is younger then amber and we can speculate amber to be around 18, 19 maybe even 20 So she should be capable of dreaming
They actually specified that the adults of Sumeru can’t dream and pride themselves for it. I’d assume Collei is still a relatively young adult to be an exception
If humanity's dreams are able to be manifested with JUST Leyline Energy, then this means that Vision Holders specifically (those with dreams and ambitions who were chosen by the gods) are potentially given the right to make their dreams a reality. Zhongli, who was the Prime Adeptus and who taught the other Adepti how to create Sub-Spaces like the Serenitea Pot, and Raiden who was able to make the Plane of Euthymia, which defies time and space, and POTENTIALLY Venti's control over the Mare Javari implies directly that even beyond the basic elemental powers, the Archons have the ability to conjure and manipulate spaces akin to the one we encountered within the Chasm almost according to their whims by controlling Elemental Energy. The power of imagination being able to be made manifest with Kusanali's power isn't all that farfetched when you make the direct comparison, especially if you consider the powers showcased by the Archons so far: Zhongli's contracts are bound and sealed, just like the Sub-Spaces the Adepti tend to create. Ei's Plane of Euthymia extends time in such a way that 500 years can pass within after only a few hours in the real world, and Venti somehow controls the Leylines himself for the Realm of the Mare Javari(which, death being the ultimate form of freedom is an incredibly interesting implication). If Kusanali's able to manipulate dreams and memories, it's directly in line with her niche: Wisdom - more specifically, knowledge. Memories are literal knowledge, while experience from those memories are what formulate wisdom.
We knew archons go beyond elemental powers when adepti were released, they can make sub space reality and domains. and zhongli being the prime adeptus and saving xiao in 2.7 demonstrates he can control space and probably to a great extend. Then in inazuma we meet raiden sisters Ei created and have access to the plane of euthymia and makoto is the sacred sakura tree. dendro archon having the power to control dreams would make sense.
If you think about the Akasha system might of distorted reveal the memories or the vision that she just witness. Maybe the akasha system thé AirPods that she wears allows her to tap into a leylines segements of memories.
I've always felt like Aloy's collaboration and inclusion in the game, though might be meaningless to most, always felt like it meant something more. Knowing Hoyo and how deliberate they are to references and everything, partnering with the Horizon series makes more and more sense since Horizon basically focuses heavily on human knowledge, restarting civilisations and cradles housing both knowledge and future humans and things like that too. To me it doesnt feel like its just a random partnership, feels like something more. And when you think about it, they could have literally collaborated with any other game out there, but why Horizon and Aloy?
It's probably not that deep. But it's an easy way to gain some plus points, and I would much prefer it to be woven into the story. Another thing I hope they provide a retroactive in-universe explanation for, is why the Dendro element and its reactions were unfinished at the initial release of the game. Probably won't happen since enemies that apply Dendro already exist, and it's more likely that they'll just make reactions work universally instead of only after the story reaches Sumeru ... but could've been nice.
@@Remls That's a very good point, why was dendro the only element not available for play and had a somewhat limited portrayal so far? Were they keeping it for Sumeru all this time?
@@9legia yup, and both the focus and akasha devices sort of link to a larger system and works to get information, akasha with the giant tree and focus with the network that allows scanning of things/technology from the "old ones" for information
So I’ve long dismissed the old theory of Teyvat being Project ARK from honkai but when you said “Dreamer” after the whole stint about arks, I literally felt a jolt. If I’m not mistaken, the one who’s in the ship known as Project ARK is none other than Griseo, and her sim’s special area in the Elysian Realm is known as _Dream of the Depicter_ . And Griseo’s MANTIS ability? Anything she paints (so basically anything she dreams up) can turn into a reality. And I literally just today explained to a friend why I didn’t support the theory that Kusanali is the God of Dreams (tl;dr the theme is as overarching in genshin’s plot as the theme of time) and instead thought that one of the Shades of the Primordial One would be the God of Dreams like how we got Istaroth as the God of Time, but _now_ if I consider the possibility of Teyvat (or that hourglass double pyramid in Sumeru’s desert) being Project ARK, then there’s an absolute possibility of Griseo being *THE* Dreamer (and one of the Thrones, possibly the First).
Ikr- We don't really know what actually happened to Griseo other than the Flame Chasers lost contact with her. I remember that Dr. MEI mentioning something about the possibility of creating something (I forgot the actual text)
Another notable common phrase "Written in the stars" is used to explain astrology which is ultimately derived from the idea that the stars are the Astral source of Light or the visible portion of the Akashic Record. Which would bring us back to... Leonard! And our constellations. And supports the theory that the Traveller uses Resin (World Tree sap) to create Artifacts and other leveling materials from the leylines in the Domains which are transmutation circles. These theory videos are really starting to converge and support eachother.
If Kusanali can manifest dreams into reality, on one end the "money" allows people to purchase their "dreams", and if Kusanali CAN create stuff from ley line energy... wouodnt it mean that the Sustainer can do the same? And trap people in realistic, dream like worlds? Why would they do that? Now I have a bunch of questions. Whats the goal of such realities? Can you trao multiple people in one imaginary world? Where does the power to create these comes from, the will of people? Is Teyvat a matrix?
And now you've got me thinking about Genshin's co-op system and how you're visiting another player's world. If we go back to Ashikai's bubble universes thing is it possible that really each player is playing inside their own version of a Teyvat bubble universe? (I mean they are in real life but like from a story perspective)
Welp, as far as I remember we didn't found Otto's corpse and he is the only one who managed to tamper with the Tree at the end... He could be a suspect i think (?) As his motives... He is as absurd as Katsura, we won't know until near the end when everything is too late... Again.
The whole possibly being able to buy dreams is weird but also sad. Could be a dream of something that isn't good i.e committing a crime, unaliving someone or of an old friend or deceased family member.
Trapping people in a world is exactly the right idea. That's what the gnostic frame has implied from the start - that Teyvat is a prison for souls. (The Matrix is on very similar theoretical grounds, and I find the Architect's speech in Matrix 2 to be a useful parable for *why* there are visions/vision holders).
is pretty obvious who Nahida might be if people paid attention to certain details (Golden Apple Archipelogo spoilers): mysterious voice from sumeru reveal (in 2.8 special program) is child like and implies being the archon of sumeru mysterious voice from GAA end of event at the end is also similar. She manages to intercept the communication device given by Venti and created by Alice without any troubles GAA mentions the tale of a little crystal bird that nobody could see. DOesn't seem a coincidence the mysterious voice compared herself to a little bird mentions light, could this be the power of previous dendro archon? Or perhaps dendro archon can somehow manipulate light? the - mysterious voice from GAA event says "(...) I'm just a little bird that sometimes flies by these islands, and now I'm watching you from far, far away" implying she has something to do with the tale of the bird "I just happen to sense power here that has something to do with me. I was curious, so I landed on the beach to quietly watch everything that took place on these islands" perhaps the power of the dodocomunication device, and / or traveller / paimon or even the Fatui Machine "I'm not able to travel myself (...)" - implying she can't leave de to being an archon "So I helped them design a little something for you all" - implying she knows Venti and Alice
Don't forget nahida's design itself Her hair has a fading green colour in the end All archons have them too This isn't a solid proof that nahida is the dendro archon, but it's like a confirmatory test, if you will
about "the power that has something to do with" her it was definitely about Fatui Machine, because she mentioned that she got there before us (she said that on the first there were hard-workers with a rare smiles implying to the fatui squad, and only after that we came), so it can't be communication device or the traveler/paimon themselves that caught her attention at first. Also I don't think the bird from Mona's story has something to do with this "little bird", because the one from teaser clearly implied Mona herself and nothing more.
The moment you said "who is the dreamer?" I immediately thought of the Travelers profile text: "The keeper is fading away; the creator has not yet come. But the world shall burn no more, for you shall ascend."
Please do make a "What I got right and wrong" video for sumeru once its out. I really enjoyed the one from Inazuma. Going back and rectifying mistakes or elaborating on ideas with newfound knowledge and lore is something I love when content creator ( specially those that make content relating to games and their lores) do
Al Haitham from the newest teaser also looks extremely similar to Su from Honkai Impact , who had a divine key called "The Seed of Sumeru" . And Su has also Travelled to multiple universes and met multiple versions of himself , and Al Haitham is most certainly one of them
Kusanali design is actually very clever It is very Similar to Kusnali-jataka, A small Fairy who had wit to ask for help from Bodhisattva when adults weren't able to think about a way to save there home, Here Kusanali is small and fairy like. And she also has Leaf of Bodhi tree

14:30 You forgot another thing: Egypt back then was also ruled by Ptolemaic Dynasty after the death of Alexander the Great. Ptolemy I Soter was a Macedonian general, which is part of ancient Greece.
This would actually make sense. In Honkai, there would be data recorded in the Void Archives of different people like Su (Who become Al Haitham), Raiden Mei (Who becomes Raiden Ei & Makato), Murata (Who supposedly becomes Murata, the arhcon of war in Natlan) and the other Honkai characters we seen in the video, all of them would have record in the archive so when the Ark arrives in teyvat thanks to the primordial one, the process of reforming the land to be fit for humanity would begin (The 7 sovereigns) and in an attempt to not let this new world be destroyed, a new system was put in place being celestia. This way they can oversee everything in teyvat. IF we took a second to consider the tree that dottore burning in colleis vision was come form or Yggdrasil tree, that would be the place where all life in teyvat was restarted. In The Chasm, we obtain a seed that one could assume will be used to save the tree in Sumeru. Some may ask why Teyvat would not die if the tree is burning but using the logic in this video, it is likely the tree no longer sustains teyvat on it's own as it once did and and has more, stronger connections it can use as a back up. I think we are going to have to save the tree and with the help of Nahdia (Who I can confirm *is* Kusanali, use the gnosis power to bring it to life. Another option is that the previous dendro archons power (What remains of it) is lending itself to keep it alive and will now pass that responsibility to Nahdia. Btw, Nahdia is most likely Kusanali's original name or at least her current persona. Kusanali is just a title like Raiden Shogun or Rex Lapis.
The big problem in working with Project Ark alongside Honkai's Void Archives is that the VA was not present in the ark launched into space by the Previous Era. So they may adopt a Genshin version of the Void Archives, but then these archives would not contain information about Mei, Himeko, Theresa, etc. I think this is a good theory, but the direct relation to Honkai makes it difficult to be true since so far all the correlations between both worlds have been very discrete and subjective (we have confirmation that Genshin is one of the Imaginary Tree universes, thus part of the same reality and sharing some principles with the Honkai universe, but then again, "Teyvat has its own laws").
Oh my god I really want to write a very lengthy comment on how _right_ in this video is on so many aspects of Sumeru, now that it's been released. It's rare we look back on these pre-X patch speculations after the patch releases but you got so much on point there, even if it came out in slightly different ways! I don't play Honkai Impact, but based on your description of Otto, Kallen, and Theresa, this story essentially plays out on two levels with the Three God-Kings: King Deshret is the Otto ambiguously in love with Goddess of Flowers, the Kallen who doesn't really love him back, and like. I can't believe you essentially predicted Kusanali's birth with the cut-off tree metaphor, with Kusanali as the Theresa in this case. The only question is where Rukkhadevata falls since you predicted her as the Kallen equivalent but Deshret is in love with Flowers, not Rukkha- a slight deviation from the story but I mean it's essentially still correct, with Rukkha cutting off a branch of Irminsul to form Kusanali-Theresa. I really want to say something about Amun-Ra Osiris Mut and all the Egyptian inspirations being related to Greece (and unified civ!) through a really convoluted chain of things but I don't even know hwo to explain it all myself so I'll just have to satisfy myself by emphatically agreeing with all of it because it matches up so well. And like, I wonder if Kusanali being based on unified-civilisation-Lumine kind of comes from her birth from the Irminsul? We know Rukkhadevata and Kusanali are basically the same iteration of each other because they are "avatars of the world tree" and if the unified civilisation was the first civilisation EVER to cultivate and live on Teyvat, maybe Rukkha and Kusanali are born from those oldest records? It makes even more sense if you imagine the Primordial One or one of his shades created the Irminsul when arriving because then the Avatar of the World Tree is literally a reflection of the civilisation who created those!! but I'm going wayy off topic this is all so fascinating to explore. It's especially notable with how you talk of a dreamer being the heart and soul of the world because in Sumeru AQ2 the Samsara of the Sabzeruz Festival (and Nahida's Story Quest) is EXACTLY that! It turns out to be Nilou hosting the Sabzeruz Festival and that insane guy who wanted to harvest people's personalities for his girlfriend, but when we meet Nahida she offhandedly mentions that TEYVAT IS PERHAPS ONE BIG SAMSARA and this lines up so well with your "Tubby of Teyvat" and the dreamer who's hosting everything! Once again I commend you for taking all these scraps given pre-Sumeru and assembling it into a narrative that's just about what we got in Sumeru because that's incredibly impressive.
Literally so crazy you made a lot of points here that ended up true. Nahida calling herself the moon, literally screamed when you associated her with it
8:50 At first I kind of thought that maybe they made a replacement for the ley-lines? If the ley lines record data/memories, and the Akasha system does the same, it might be that they made their own version of the ley lines that's more tangible/easier to access and read how they want to. And maybe that's why they don't dream AND why they're proud that they don't dream, because dreaming is how the ley line system and people are connected and they've (at least a little) disconnected themselves from the 'inferior' ley line system and instead connect to their 'superior' Akasha system.
Okay but this video aged SO well, when you mentioned the only thing missing was “the Moon” …that just shows how intuitive and educated you are. You’ve gained a big fan thank you for these videos ☺️
Since we're on a Honkai tear, could this "Dreamer" you're referring to be Griseo? She's one of the original 13 Flame Chasers, the heroes of the previous era that lost to the Honkai. In their countermeasures and plans for humanity to eventually survive, one plan of theirs was to implement Project... Ark, wherein one of them would be sent in cryo sleep out into the vast void of space to find... well, something, anything. And as the Flame Chasers either died or went on to influence the next era on their earth, Griseo, the child of the group, was sent in the Ark. She was spared the destruction of their world and last we've heard, Project Ark was never heard from again. Furthermore, we find out that Griseo's powers are, more or less, her imagination and bringing things to life, which she does through her painting. Perhaps Teyvat is merely a canvass in her dream?
At first I was confused about Kusanali (or Nahida)'s design. But now it makes so much sense since she is the god of dreaming and only children are allowed to dream in Sumeru.
1)Yanfei explaining this to us really makes a lot of sense. She's really smart 🤭. 2)If Nahida/dendro archon can create mirages, she sounds really powerful considering the mirages we've encountered already were just a mimic of her actual powers. 3)I have a theory that that despite being this powerful, she doesn't have her gnosis. The sages has her gnosis and are working with the fatui specifically Dottore to create corruption.
Amazing. I still rewatch the older sumeru speculations video and I wasn't really expecting a new one this soon but hell yeah, I'm definitely not complaining :D
About the name Nahida: These Persian names, Anahid(آناهید), Anahita(آناهیتا), and Anahit(آناهیت) don’t exactly share the same meaning with Nahid(ناهید), at least linguistically speaking. The three variations of the name Anahid have their root in Zoroastrian language and culture, and a rough translation of it would be “without foulness”, or “pure from evil”; ɑːn = devoid of a quality/the absence of a quality əˈhiːd = foulness/evil/impurity Meanwhile, Nahid is the Persian name for the planet Venus. you know, the planet that’s “the brightest natural object in Earth's night sky after the Moon” yep, the moon! So i wonder, why would HYV give the dendro archon a name like Nahida, which isn’t realllly a name but a mix of 2 different names, unless they absolutely want to draw a connection between her and the moon? With that in mind, and based on Scara’s statement on “the false sky” and “the stars aren’t real” we can safely assume that everything in Teyvat’s sky is a replication of the actual stuff you see in a “real sky”. Therefore wouldn’t Teyvat’s moon (the one that is left at least) be more of a, Venus?! You know shiny and big but not quite the real thing? That can also be tied into the whole no dreaming for grown-ups situation in sumeru if their archon is directly linked to the fake moon.
Highly speculative head-cannon here; I think that the 'elf' like beings we seen in Teyvat (Klee, most likely Alice, and now Nahida) might be descendants of survivors of the Seele race. This mainly came about because my brain drew some correlations from the relationship between the humans and seeles and humans and elves from Tolkien's universe. However, now that we know Nahida/Kusanali also has the elf ears I think there might be actually be a connection, since both Kusanali and the Seele have strong connections to the moon (plz Kusanali give us more lore on the three moon sisters and the false sky). Though Alice and Klee don't have any connections to the moon that I know of so its just speculation supported by threads of lore that I've forcibly tied together.
I though Alice was a astrologist? If I’m not wrong astrologists use the stars or the sky to scry so that would be your connection to the moon! But for Klee I’m drawing blanks. Sorry if this information was incorrect,
@@your_fellow_alienz Don'y think that Alice is an astrologist specifically, but I think she can use astrology to read the fates of individuals, but unlike Mona she also knows others mystic arts that she puts more emphasis on. Thx for pointing out that connection though, I completely forgot about it!
This somehow reminds me of Omniscient Reader Viewpoint's The Oldest Dream. The one who lives to dream, to see the stories of the world, in which in this case, the one who dreams slooowly regressed into their childhood body as they continue to dream since y'know, adults can't really dream anymore with a bunch of responsibilities to handle. And The Oldest Dream is dreaming inside a train, which is running around the sky, like an ark, since the train is the first thing The Oldest Dream gets in touch with when all the plot happens in the story. AND the world that they live in, is being stabilized by stories that the Oldest Dream dreams of. So basically that world is being made of stories. Stories of dreams. I won't tell you who The Oldest Dream is since it's a spoiler. hehe
@@sora5518 Yeah, or maybe both genshin and orv has the same reference used based on real life myths and legends about this. But I don't know which one they use tho
Ashikai, the concept of a dreamer whose dreams create a world so straight from Cthulhu mythos. I think it’s Nyarlytheop, the idiot god. Whose dreaming creates all of reality and when they eventually awaken, all of reality will cease to exist. It might be worth looking into that for your dreamer theory.
There are theories emphasizing that Kusanali is actually sleeping and the one we will encounter is a mirage, and so is the entirety of Sumeru's jungle, that she would be mantaining with her dreams/mirages to prevent her people from living in the desert.
The biggest question we've all missed is. If the Akasha system can be used to recreate practically anything, all that's needed prior are the memories of it as well as the blueprint. Then isn't this the solution to the Abyss orders problem? Would they not now be able to recreate Khaenriah with the Akasha system? Much like how we ventured through Fischl, Kazuha, Mona and Xinyan's psyche, would we not be able to physically walk through Khaenriah with this technology?? Act 8 The Dream Yet To Be Dreamed "THE DREAM" - Dream being a place like we saw in GAA. The place being Khaenriah. Not the Khaenriah of old but a new one created in the image of the old one. "YET TO BE DREAMED" - Implying that that chapter, is going to be us walking through a new manifestation of Khaenriah created from the memories of the old. Hence, The Dream Yet To Be Dreamed
I might be a passerby but I've been binging through your videos, but this one is a the most interesting one so far, solely because your concept that teyvat's basically a dream world, dreamt by someone. As a reader of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint Light Novel, that is a big nod :)
The exact quote is "most people, especially adults, aren't capable of dreaming" so that implies that there are at least some people, and maybe some adults, who do dream
@@bladefier1954 nah Collei is not a teen, she was when she met Amber in Mondstat. But its been years now. Shes just not from Sumeru, thats why she can still dream
With this whole leyline thing, I think of an analogy of Teyvat humans being data objects. When you die you're archived in the leylines but If the leylines are severed then the data object that you are is released and you can "live" again. So it's like death is not really death but more like being archived? Maybe I'm just repeating things from the video since I'm only at the beginning of it Or that I'm just saying non sense
Yep, thinking along these lines too... 'cause on this chessboard checkmate is not where the game ends :) a broken archive can be repaired, and some data can be extracted out of it...

it's 4:30 am and i should be asleep but my curiosity brought me here 😌 are those four-pointed stars in nahida's pupils' design or something else? i kinda feel like the fatui are the reason why there's corruption within the akademiya and that the ppl at the top are withholding info or manipulating the akasha network for their own gains since dottore's going to burn the irminsul tree, i feel like by the time the archon quest involving that is done, we're not going to see the earpieces on ppl anymore the khaenri'ah chapter's title... if dreams can be made into reality by manipulating the leylines, that's probably what the loom of fate is all about... maybe the abyss twin wants the traveler to experience everything and find out the truth (whatever the abyss twin knows) by themselves so that they'd support the twin in manifesting themselves back in time a little before the cataclysm or manifest the entirety of khaenri'ah from their memories (or the recorded memories within the leylines) lastly, paimon sus 👀
Quick note I’d like to place here before I watch the video: the city story icon of Sumeru is the tree of life, which bares striking resemblance to the hypothetical Layline tree that often appears in Ashikai’s theories. Having said that, Sumeru being the Dendro region (so heavy empathies on plants), the land of wisdom, and the new information from the teasers talking about how they trade via information that are all linked through these odd little headsets, and they do not dream. It is very likely that out of all the 7 regions, Sumeru is the region that is the closest to the “trunk” of the layline tree or somewhere near the heart of its branches/roots. Making the inhabitants more connected to the lay lines themselves, hence why “wisdom” and “knowledge” are such valuable things. Both things are something the layline network tracks. Also also, it would explain why the Dendro element has such heavy emphasis on reactions and elements and elemental mastery.
i just got the feeling to see if you’d posted since i’d just finished the summertime odyssey story quest and it had been awhile since i’d seen a video of yours and here you just posted, lovely time! 🥳
My mind is absolutely blown after this video. Your videos are always so in-depth and well-researched that I'm always learning something new, but this one absolutely went above and beyond. I'm so excited for Sumeru and to see if the pieces you've put together fit the puzzle Hoyoverse envisioned. No matter what, this next archon quest is going to be a blast. Thank you for making this video!
MAAAAAAAAAAN THIS LORE MAKES SO MUCH SENSE !!! I'm so happy that mihoyo is godly at mashing real life myths with each other and also with real life sciences to create this game's lore. It is sooo fascinating. And also happy to see people like you dedicating a lot of your time breaking it down or putting the puzzle pieces together that mihoyo scatters calculatedly. Teriteri daishouri~
Yes! The pieces are falling into place. The Leylines, memories, dreams, ambitions, Visions, Gnoses, Domains, the Akasha system. It’s all forming a web of interconnected concepts! I’m so happy that my line of thinking with Tubby actually went somewhere.
A bit of clarification related to the Project Ark theory. Griseo was the only one on that ship and her ability is to make her paintings come to life. Void Archive travelled into space, but that part of the story is yet to be covered.
The theory brushstrokes painting the *Primordial One* as using the *Light Realm* to power his (re)colonization plans for the *Human Realm* are quite interesting... but it also brings some extra questions into the overall canvas: The *Light Realm* was originally (or just _previously,_ at least) inhabited by the *Vishaps,* that much we know. But then... who inhabited the *Human Realm* before it was called that? The *Seelie* (then why did they agree to "guide humanity")? The *Illuminated Beasts?* Is the *Human Realm* something that didn't exist before (a world of *Light* and *Void* without a middle ground)? Was his project, from day one, that destabilized the original balance of elemental energy, causing the progressive merge of the Three Realms (Light, Human and Void), as observed and discussed in Enka? Where there any groups originally from the *Void Realm?* - Pale Princess lore comes to mind, and the passing comments that Khaenri'ah was a kingdom from a land with no light... *Elves,* if you take into consideration how all of _Alfheim, Hel_ and _Niff,_ from norse myth, resemble Teyvat's *Void Realm...* ... Like everything Genshin related, one step forward (a "certainty") always takes us multiple steps back (many "questions"). Amazing video as always, Ashi! ♥
"who is the dreamer?" my brain:istaroth!! I mean, she's the god of time, more exactly the god of *moment* ,and leylines are are accumulated memories of *moments* that happened throughout *time* , so leylines are kinda the library to all the history of tyvat which we've seen many times in game, and history is a compilation of moments in time and that kinda fits istaroth 's role as the god of moment and time. Plus, she is also called the "branches of time" branches→ tree→ roots→ leylines!!! and the thing about vision holders...it was said somewhere (I don't really remember) that once a *moment* is freezes in *time* and the "gods" look opon someone in favour, they receive a vision!!and we know that archons don't give visions but celestia, so who in celestia is responsible for giving out visions?? again: istaroth... and we know that visions can come with the manifestation of one's mind like fishle who met oz (her imaginary friend) when she got her vision. if you got any ideas comment below,I can read long paragraphs 😊
Just watched this today, mindblown how the predictions are already starting to confirm. Like the whole Nahida-moon thing, in the promo Nahida literally calls herself the moon lol.
Sumeru being the "center" of Teyvat and where the "ship" originally landed on is also supported by the fact that, according to rough map data from all the way from Genshin's Closed Beta, Sumeru is literally the nation that's at the center of the map/Teyvat. Some new data has also been leaked in that Sumeru will introduce new billets, and they're called..... Midlander Billets
Always coming back on your vids to be chocked again hahah. "I'm just te moon" she said. Damn Ashikai. Also, my dream to see you talking about the possibility of the beggining of this game actually be the ending and how this could explain a lot of things. Maybe the godess of time it's making us do this endless loop. I think about this all the time and kusanali just beggining the PV saying that everything is a loop just got me harder...
I just finished the Archon quest and then stumbled upon this video thinking you made it after finishing the quests too but only noticing it was done a month ago after and I’m just so baffled by how much you get right in these. It’s almost always so far fetched at first but you just nail these. Awesome videos! Please keep it up! I love everything that you post
Ngl I never expected an Ashikai video could excite me so much, buuut I just had a long and terrible day, so coming onto youtube and seeing a new video from you cheered me up so much that I can't stop smiling while watching
8:23 The "ocean of unconsciousness to which all are linked" makes me think of the more mystical version of the collective unconscious, a sort of shared dream-space. Maybe Sumerians don't have normal dreams because they're all fused together in one giant dreamworld, possibly without their awareness, and presumably overseen by the archon, for... some purpose. Could have something to do with needing to keep track of everyone's knowledge because of the potential dangers of humans knowing things about gods/Celestia that they aren't supposed to. The other thing I'm wondering about is whether there's some lore reason why Dendro was kept under wraps for so long. We didn't see a single Dendro user besides Baizhu for two years, and the reactions don't seem so complicated that they really needed this much prep time. Related to the culture itself being secretive and guarding its knowledge?
If there is something similar to a void archive that was used in the genesis of Teyvat, it might not even be cube-shaped. It could be any shape really; pearl-shaped, for example. We'll need to keep an eye out for references to anything like that 🤔
Once again, you have made the possibilities hidden within the lore so much more palatable and convinced me that the writing in this game is far better than it is directly produced. I love your diligent ascription of all of the little linguistic nods this game makes in its native tongue and in English to all of the intertwined mythologies that the game could possibly pull reference and inspiration. I really hope you can always find the time to artfully describe the mountains of the mole hills that Mihoyo expects most of us to ignore while endlessly grinding artifacts/mora/wits/ores in this game.
Project Ark also had a copy of the human genome and the person that was on the ark was Griseo- who has the power to bring her paintings to life, including life itself….who’s to say she hasn’t evolved her powers while floating thru space on the ark and she landed in Sumeru, conquered the dragon sovereigns, and then used her painting powers to shape Teyvat fit for humanity 🤔🤔🤔
Unknown fact: the blue tree in the beginning of the video was a direct reference to a game Ori and the Will of the Wisps's Ancestral Tree's. 0:00 - :0:32
gonna leave a proper comment after i watch this in full but i just wanna say WEEE NEW ASHIKAI VIDEO your videos are something i look forward to a lot these days ^_^♡♡
ok ok Sumeru gnosis theory... WHAT if, Dottore is destroying the leyline branch "tree on fire" so the Akasha devices stop working since they're connected to the gnosis and in this video its theorized that is connected to the leylines, so he can take the gnosis to Tsaritsa for it to be no longer connected to some idk bluetooth device thingies blocking people's dreams or smth, like severing all ties with these Akasha devices before actually taking the gnosis to tsaritsa you know...
3.0 SPOILERS AHEAD!! I speedran the archon quest in 5 hours upon release and a lot of this regarding Irminsul (OMG THE TREE HAS A NAME FINALLY!!!) isn't too far off. It's so interesting see what does and does intersect between your theories and the quest itself, can't wait for further videos and future Sumeru patches!! ^^
What if Kusanali was harvesting "dream energy" with the Pyramid vortex and the earphone looking things. And in exchange she would use her Dendro powers to create big trees to access the ley lines with their roots? In Sumeru the people would trade their ability to dream for ley line knowledge.
It's crazy how Ashikai's theories are so spot on. After going through all the quests in 3.0, mentioning Kusanali, Irminsul, the Akasha System, and Dreams, they are so spot on holy.
