The Veyron is listed back on OfferUp as of yesterday and is only about 20mins from where I live. Might take a drive this weekend and see if I can spot it as OfferUp does have a general area where the ca is located
Ed, I am legitimately sorry you didn’t get to buy that stolen Bugatti and make a video about returning it to the owner!! I am now bummed that video did not come to fruition.
Given how few there are, and therefore how easy they are to track. And that their buyers tend to be people who know people. I am not sure a scam for these would even work 🤔
How do you steal a Bugatti and not have a deal lined up to sell it😭😭 25k for a bug is actually wild if that was actually stolen 😭😭 not only are you going to jail for stealing a Bugatti but you’re going to jail for Selling it for 25 grand 🤦🏽
Buying a stolen car, even if you “have intention of returning it to the legitimate owner” sounds like an incredibly stupid idea that could land you in prison for an extended stay.
The one time I got as far as a phone call interview for jury duty, I told them I don’t believe in the justice system and wouldn’t convict anyone. The didn’t bother to call me back 😂
I told them I can't offer an unbiased opinion because the cops murdered my friend, and they told me I didn't need to come in, since I have a doctor's appointment 😂 (they made up my Dr's appointment as an excuse on their end, I never mentioned an appointment)
Dude had the Chiron for 95k & took it down to 25k crazy haha I would have took the engine transmission & all the drive line components & put it in a Honda 💀💀
How do you steal a Chiron. Did the owner not realize that his missing his Chiron. I get earlier super cars but with all the technology out there now. This just blows my mind. How does a theft make up his mind that right I'm going to steal a million dollar car now.
I will never get over the fact people consider 20k miles to be high on a car that's 1 million dollars or more. I know these cars are built for peak performance but you can't make a Ferrari that can't go 15k miles without 50k dollars of maintenance needed.
I've seen this add on Marketplace! I've been talking to this guy! I was planning on stealing this Chiron! He responded to me and it was a complete scam. Ed, I can't believe we were after the same Bugatti at the same time! Haha
If having mid 20000 miles is high miles, I'd say the car is a scam at any price. I always appreciate the stories on here, but will never understand spending so much to have a car you cannot drive. I appreciate that you live your dream and choose to drive the worst examples.
What do these people think they’re going to gain from this theft and deceit? Only a fool would think they could get away with these two examples and that in this digital age they won’t be recognized almost immediately and face severe consequences.
They’re hoping someone buys it and send it to south america or eastern europe. Even if there’s no cosmetic changes to the vehicle when it arrives at the destination, it’s very hard to impound the car and send it back to the USA since, as far as the police in that country knows, the car is legit and legal.
Depends on the state and your company. If you're salaried, you generally keep your pay. Most courts give some a nominal sum like $20/day to cover your parking and lunch if you're selected for a jury.
