We are all novices when a new bike comes along and we start from scratch to see what will and will not work and how everything will come together based on engineering that we cannot see inside the forks and shock and standard geometry offered. I have to start with a blank sheet and get to work to know what I have and then see how it all works. We all start somewhere so start with ergonomics - that has the best immediate ROI.
We will always be novices - forever learning. I always do my best to just be a sponge when learning from those with more experience and knowledge than me on a subject. This channel is brain food.
Can anyone confirm if that was the Mupo upgraded front forks? Seemed like the standard rear shock. I'm going to be ordering one of these soon. I am 220#+ with gear so assume the upgraded forks/shock are a must for me.
Ride and see how much travel you use to assess if you need more or less preload. Use real world findings to assess what you need vs what the text book says.
Wish they made a slightly larger Ohvale, we've got a CRF450r and CRF150R for supermoto/kart tracks and I'd love to have a smaller version of my R6 trackbike in terms of ergo for the kart tracks. Any bike suggestions Dave? Something almost in between a ninja 300 and an Ohvale? Btw I've been a subscriber to your website for the past few years and love learning! Thanks!
Have you ridden a GP2 yet? I'm 5'11", 175 without gear and love mine. It's small but very doable. 2 laps in you stop thinking about ergo's are realize how many bad habits you have with when and how you move your body.
@@Desmotwin Yeah I rode a buddies and my knees were begging for mercy 1 lap in lol. I'm 6'3 and 195lbs and just need a little bit bigger of a frame. I wish Ohvale made a tad bigger bike!
