Hello! I am using this press and I am having trouble with the middle of my mugs having a faded look and the ends (and taped seam ) are very vibrant. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
I would check the fit first. Put a mug in cold and look to see if it is touching and tight all the way around. Sounds like maybe the coil is too large.
Just got this press. For some reason my mugs are turning brown when they are supposed to be black. What could I be doing wrong same prints in my convection oven come out with no issues.
@@AngieHoldenI did the instructions for 356 at 280 seconds. I decrease to 180 and a few in between it’s the same outcome. I can’t find any settings that work good with this press….
You can use sublimation if you buy a stainless steel tumbler that is made for sublimation. Then you would follow the same steps as long as the tumbler is a straight wall.
Angie, I have this press and it's been burning my tumblers. I checked the temperature and when set at 400 it's actually 435! Do you know how to calibrate the temperature, or if I even can? Thanks!
Have you notice your heating element bubbling up? I have only had this machine a few months and recently noticed that the heating element bubbled up. The company is sending me another one to replace its but I noticed the other element that came with it did the same thing and released some smoke that smelled when it popped. I emailed the company again and waiting on response. Just wondering if you have had this same issue. Thank you!
After watching your video (which i loved) I purchased this unit in July. I wanted to get used to it before my busy season. It is now Dec 2022. After 27 mugs/tumblers the unit will only heat to 176 degrees. I have sent the company several messages and many pictures of the temp/mugs/tumblers. They have yet to get back to me. After reading the amazon reviews I see I am not the only one have trouble after 25 pieces. Last review I read they make you purchase another heating element. Just thought I would share the problems this unit is giving us. Thank you for all you do.
@@AngieHolden PYD has finally reached out to me and agreed to replace the heating element which they intend to warranty that one for three month. I remain hopeful that this was just a one time occurrence. Will keep you in the loop if that one does the same thing. Thank you
Hey! So I have the one with just one attachment so I have to buy the other attachment so I can make the glass can’s or do I have to change my tumbler press for this one instead?😵💫🤗💕
Hi! thank you for this amazing video. I have one myself and just recently started struggling with ceramic mugs. Can you please share the temperature and time did you use for these? Also, did you press with more of a tight pressure? TIA :)
Interesting how each press is so different in terms of wrapping blanks, times, and even functions. So PYD uses decently heavy pressure(seeing you close the press). How long is the heat coil(attachment)? Also, from my searching and personal use, this is about the standard price for a good quality press. Definitely appreciate the review!
Hi I have the same press. I taped the seem 20 oz. Skinny and the top and bottom. 356 for 60 seconds turned 180 degrees and pressed again for 60 seconds but the colors are dull and not vibrant any suggestions
I’m looking to purchase a press and this caught my eye. I figured if Angie uses it it should be ok. I got a lemon on the last one I purchased. I see they have a 9-1. And a 11-1. What is the most difference between them and the 2 and 1? Thanks. I love your Videos. Any info would help in my decision.
I have the PYD Life press and am struggling with ceramic mugs. My blacks are turning brown I have tried 400 degrees, 380 degrees and times anywhere from 180 to 280. Do you have any suggestions? I'm using a Cricut 15oz blank. Thanks! I have the Epson F170 and Epson paper, I have not had any trouble with water bottles.
Hi Angie, do you recommend starting off with a Cricut Mug Press first? I'm just starting off with a home business selling custom made items and was thinking of adding mugs & tumblers into the mix. What do you think? Thanks for your help and for all the detailed info you always supply us with!
I really enjoy your videos, and after watching this one, I bought this press. But I have a question, I pressed a glass that was for sublimating. the problem I had is I tried to redo it and add something else to it, and the glass broke after a few mins, I had the press temp at 365 for 140secs. but it broke with in 20 secs, my questions is can you add stuff to the glass jars and if you can, what do you put the temp at and for how long? and if you can't add anything to your designs, was that the problem? I hope you understand what I'm trying to say..TIA
Oh goodness, I just ordered and received my pyd life tumbler. I thought I had ordered a 20 oz tumbler press, however I have 20 oz tumblers. Is it possible to press 20 oz tumblers in a 30 oz press?? Big expensive mistake 😫
@@AngieHolden Hi Angie, I forgot to ask. Can you sublimate photos on the glass tumblers? I am so excited as I just purchased the press tonight. I made my first Tumbler for my Grandson's birthday with him and his step dad in the dirt bike uniforms standing by their dirt bikes at the Daytona MotorCross. (Step dad saw the tumbler and said "I want one too!" Sooooo cool. ) Thank you for all your help with your tutorials. I refer to them a lot. The first tumbler was done in the Mug Press and I decided I better get the tumbler press. ;-D
Hi Angie, thank you for all your informative content on RU-vid and elsewhere! I have this same PYD Life tumbler press but I want to know if you are using the large carrier attachment for the 20 oz tumbler. I am using the attachment that says 20 oz tumbler wrap and the adjustment knobs are almost fully screwed out but the tumblers are slightly bent when I press them. Instead of remaining round, they are slightly oval. The clear lid will go back into the cup, but I don't want this to happen necessarily and I am concerned that the knobs are almost fully extended. Do you think there is a problem with the machine? It presses designs onto the tumbler beautifully, but bends the tumbler.??? I'm just frustrated and concerned. Your comments would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!
Hi Angie! I absolutely love your channel. You are my go to when it comes to anything Cricut or sublimation!! I have been having issues with a pink-like “halo” around some of my sublimation projects (mugs and tumblers). Any idea why?? Thank you!
I’m thinking of getting this one. Do you think I can press 20 oz ceramic mugs with the larger attachment? I know people who want the larger coffee mugs but can’t find a Press large enough.
@@AngieHolden I bought the new 40 oz heater attachment and thought that was what you were demonstrating 🤦♀️. Didn’t realize a 20 and 30 were included. I think the 40 should work.
Im asking to see if you know of a cheaper one or better or one u trust.Ive been putting it off for a long time because I'm unsure of their shipping time.
Can you print a 32 oz sublimation water bottle with the heat elements that come with the PYD Life Pro Max tumbler press or do I need to buy another heating element?
@@AngieHolden I bit the bullet and printed on the 32 oz, sublimation water bottle with the larger heat element that came with my brand new PYD Life tumbler press. IT TURNED OUT AMAZING!!!!! I was my first project and I made it for my grandson who loves Pokemon and wanted a Pokemon water bottle for our upcoming school year! I AM OBSESSED!!!!!! I ordered and received some of the skinny glass tumblers, regular skinny tumblers, glitter tumblers and glow in the dark tumblers - can't wait to see what I can make with all of them and guess what everyone will be getting for Christmas and/or birthday gifts this year!!! SERIOUSLY LOVE THIS MACHINE! Thank you for your on point video which solidified my decision to purchase it! I will upload and send a picture if that's allowed.
Great video! I've been looking at this tumbler for a while now and was wondering if you would still recommend this or if you have a go to tumbler press that you use.
@@AngieHolden I’ve contacted them as I’ve found on their direct site they do ship to the Uk, on Amazon it was over $600 though 😱 I like the idea of the different size elements they do, all others seem to just be 20 or 30 oz
@@AngieHolden I appreciate the response, thank you soo much. I made some changes to the printer preferences that you recommended and I'm getting the image transferred but it is extremely dull. I've cleaned the heads as well.
Cleaning the heads is not necessary. Press a print to a 100% polyester cloth to test to see if things are working properly. If they are, it is your blank or the time/temp/pressure you are using with that blank.
@@AngieHolden thanks Angie! I brightened my print up ALOT and it transferred beautifully. Now I just have to try to clean the others so I'm not wasting them lol. Thank you sooo much.
