This shit happens more than you think. It's terrible that It happend but thankfully nobody died. Insurance companies e it for this reason. The guys at Eastside are very cautious and take safety very serious. They are not amateurs and I very highly doubt drugs were involved. This shit happens when you work with heavy equipment day in and day out. They are called ACCIDENTS and they can happen to even the most cautious people. So quit being so quick to judge if you have not heard exactly what caused the accident. Try telling me you've never had an accident.

Just wait I'm sure some scum Bad contractor will come in and say you gotta tear the whole house down when all they gotta do is replace subtrusses and a new garage door that house will be backed up in no time. 4 generations in construction that'll be an easy fix

Over-extending the boom is such an easy mistake to make. Surprised it doesn't happen more often. Front outriggers were out but too close to garage to be safe extending boom to rear. IMHO

The operator of the crane seemed to be underestimating the capability of his equipment…there are criteria and procedures for all lifts..most modern units also have vast arrays of sensors, alarms and calculators to monitor your activities…when this unit is recovered it will have inspected and recertified..

The computer on that crane is bad. If it was working, it wouldn't have allowed itself to do that. These cranes know exactly how much they're picking up and the geometry of the boom. Either the operator overrode it (which I doubt) or it's on the fritz.

With tree work you don’t know the exact weight of the picks. So the computer can’t do anything about it after the piece is cut

Lol - you don't know until it's too late with picking a live load - that's why they don't use them for treework normally - i watched the channel - the crane driver was sketchy af

Never work off the back There is NO outrigger going off the back The outriggers are your strength. Amateurs

Off the back gives u most capacity and stability cause the extra counterweight of the front of the truck. Why would the outriggers matter? The crane is off the ground

@@sethismename7499 the outriggers are designed to matter. First of all, I was taught Whatever the capacity of your crane is To only use 1/10th of it. Second of all trees are an unknown quantity. You can’t see how much it weighs, it can be Dry and lite or saturated and heavy. Where as a man made item can be weighed The counterbalance of the truck is a huge help But it has its limits and when u go passed the limits you’re on the NEWS

@@sethismename7499 I got a lot done. I was famous where I worked for getting a lot done. When u take lite loads u can go way faster than when u take heavy loads. Especially if your heavy loads flip the crane. Good luck with that

The load chart for this particular crane from the manufacturer indicates it has roughly 3 time more capacity over the rear. More like complacency than amateurish...
