Us Swedes eat Pickled Herring (Inlagd Sill) especially during Christmas, Easter and Midsummer (Midsommar) but also all year round 😉. There a hundreds of ways to pickle herring, but I wanted to share two different recipes that have been in my family for at least 100 years. It's a recipe from the islands outside of Gothenburg.
