@@JenFishburne what you are teaching is purely satanic, unlike an atheist. Where you get the theory from??? Energy exists and doesn't exist? You believe is energy which you can't see and that that doesn't doesn't have life and reject Jesus who existed even in historical records. Sometimes you said you believe in God and sometimes you replace God with energy? What the Hellish teaching?? Does that energy have a mind? A body? A soul? Feelings like love etc???? If that energy has all these things who is that personal being type of energy you are taking about other than God !!! Is He Not A Demon???? Is it not the 666???? Why you hide behind the wall??? Why are you playing like a wolf in sheep clothing???

This is the heart of the issue for me - I used to sit in churches and listen to other people tell me what the bible means. They all claimed x=expertise. Many claimed knowledge of ancient languages. I couldn't learn a second language at school and they did try to teach me one. Now I'm here listening to another person tell me they have language skills and know what the book means and I have no proof of any of it. Nor can I just swan off and learn Biblical Hebrew and Greek to "find out for myself". And I'm about done with a book that unreliable/that hidden/that subject to be being used to manipulate other people. Sick to my soul with all of it. Ersatz spirituality. Ersatz psychology. Abuse and manipulation. If this was god's plan to reach humanity, it's rubbish.

I'm an atheist and the "impossibility of the conflicting creation stories". Is a response to the Christian who would claim the Bible to be univocal and that Genesis is an account of the creation of our observable universe and everything in it. This is a legitimate criticism of my interlocutors theology and you are just wrong to call it a "mistake".

As a fellow migraine sufferer, I saw a nurolgist, and learned to track my food triggers. In my case, nuts, seeds, dairy, nitrates, nitrites, red food coloring, anything pickled or cured or smoked. Not waking and sleeping on a set schedule was a bad one, changes in atmospheric pressure, hormonal changes, scents and perfumes, bright lights, glare, getting too cold... all are triggers.

The Gospel of Thomas proclaims that the Kingdom of God is already present for those who understand the secret message of Jesus (saying 113), and lacks apocalyptic themes. Because of this, Ehrman argues, the Gospel of Thomas was probably composed by a Gnostic some time in the early 2nd century.[80] Ehrman also argued against the authenticity of the sayings the Gospel of Thomas attributes to Jesus"

God is Spirit and can only be really known in the Spirit. Any intellectual engagement that seeks to know Him who is Spirit and infinite , falls short. The finite mind cannot fully comprehend Him because He is Spirit and infinite. We need the mind of the Spirit. It's a spiritual encounter. By this, all intellectually challenged individuals have an opportunity to know God by His Spirit with their spirit. It's not about religion and debate. It's about sincerely asking God to make known Himself to us personally. Man does not need religion. They need a living encounter with the Spirit of the Living God.

It’s my understanding that evolution doesn’t claim that we (humans) sprang from monkeys. Rather, evolution states that humans and monkeys share a common ancestor. As far as why humans evolved differently (hair, skin tone, eyes, fast twitch muscles, etc), I think it’s most likely due to pressures from the environments and conditions in which these “groups” lived. If hominids eventually walked out of Africa onto what we now call Europe and Asia, it’s not hard to imagine how conditions varied…and how these conditions shaped what are now modern humans.

In October 2016 I left my career of 35 years to seek the truth in religion and politics on a full time basis. (A seeker of truth is a finder of lies) I've devoted 7 days a weeks and often 12-15 hours a day to that research and study over the last 6 1/2 years. I've come to the conclusion that ALL religions and political systems are man made constructs to control people's beliefs and their behavior. Atheism is just another form of religion, in fact you'll find that most atheists who were once former Christians are just as dogmatic and intolerant in their beliefs as atheists as they ever were as Christians. What's interesting about a lot of the former Christian atheists is that when they had their radical change in religious beliefs they also had a radical change in their political ideologies as well.

@thrushman
@thrushman 2 года назад
@@JenFishburne I didn't think I was "grouping" anyone but was just commenting on an observation I've made from the various atheists I know of. Have you tried magnesium for your migraines? My best friend has suffered from migraines all his life and tried everything but nothing ever worked until he tried magnesium 4 or 5 years ago. Almost instantly he had no more migraines and remained migraine free up until early last year when a lot of stress was introduced into his life and the migraines returned. Sadly now the magnesium doesn't work and he's become unemployable at 59 years old and not a single government services department in our area will give him the time of day. My Dad also suffered from migraines as long as I can remember to where he finally destroyed his kidneys from all the Excedrin he was taking. He battled kidney disease for years and refused to do dialysis. After contracting pneumonia and being admitted to the hospital he died within the week on Christmas Eve 2020. The death certificate said cause of death "Covid". So I know how debilitating migraines can be and I'm very lucky that I don't have them because I'm a big baby when it comes to headaches. I know if you're like my buddy you've already spent a lot of time doing research for cures and you've probably heard every piece of advice as well but I only mention the magnesium because at that time my friend had never heard of it and he did get relief where the first time in his life he had no migraines not just for days or weeks but for several years. Good luck with the migraines as well as finding an atheist or a Christian who are "reasonable".

The classic documentary hypothesis has largely been rejected, as has the dating that typically went along with it. Elohim is plural in form, but is used grammatically as both singular and plural, indicated by the grammar of the specific usage (such as with singular verb forms like 'bara', as in Bereshit 1, so no, it doesn't say that multiple gods created the sky and the land, though the text does go on to use the first person plural suffix pronoun several times later, or mixing both e.g. 1:26 "And-said-he [3rd person masculine singular verb form 'amar'] Elohim, make-us adam in-image-ours"). This is a linguistic quirk which is also present in other related older polytheistic semitic languages and cultures such as Akkadian and Phoenician. It can't be used as a tool to reliably date the authorship of the text, as there was likely never a time when biblical Hebrew didn't work this way.

It is no surprise that different races come from different regions of the world. When populations split and stop breeding with each other, unique traits are able to develop separate from other populations. If you have a group of ape like ancestors, and they split into two groups due to various reasons (mostly geographical), changes will start to develop slowly in the two populations. Eventually they will not be able to breed with each other (speciation).

I don't see contradiction in scriptures between Genesis 1 and 2, nor between the Old and New Covenant because the Old portrays Creation of God and fall of man, the Messiah Redeemer Christ Himself to come and realized in New Covenant. Impersonal energy, paganism, and atheism don't answer the deep and true issues of life and give no hope for the afterlife. Just because pagan myths look a bit similar to truth doesn't give them validity at all for they don't ring of truth, justice, mercy and grace but only evil and confusion with conflicting gods of hopelessness. Let the Father, Son and Spirit be true and every man a liar.
@thedude9941
@thedude9941 2 года назад
The contradiction she is referring to between Genesis 1 and 2, I have come to find is not actually a contradiction but a literary style. If you read Genesis 4 after Cain kills Able he goes to the land of Nod and meets a wife, she did not come from Adam and Eve because Genesis 1 God created other people first that's why both Man and Woman are created at the same time, Adam and Eve are the lineage to Abraham who is part of the lineage to Jesus.

Culture does not equal race and race does not equal culture. Fact: People within a group are more different than the people outside a group. You come across as thorough. Surely you stumbled upon that in your research. Why disregard it? It and another well known fact regarding genetics subvert your pure race theory: environment shapes genes. If one comes from multiple generations having lived far above sea level, the way a person's body processes oxygen is more efficient, therefore the myth that people called Black are athletic. This is so well known that athletes will train in the Colorado and other mountains with gear made to simulate thin air to force their body to process oxygen more efficiently. You've "reasoned" yourself into everyday garden variety racism. Melanine content does not drive culture. It's a backwards thinking proposition. How is it that question escaped your studies?

Seriously, monkeys didn't evolve into humans we are monkeys. It is simply that all modern monkeys and apes share a common monkey like ancestor. The various "races" simply evolved in response to the differing environmental pressures they faced as humanity spread across the globe. There is no mistake on my part it's your understanding of evolution that is simple wrong. As an aside I have no idea why you would use the archaic term "race" instead of the modern term "ethnic groups".

You seem to conveniently ignore that the Messiah which the Prophets foretold would bring world peace hasn't come yet. That doesn't fit full preterism. So it appears you may think you're better informed about the Tanakh than the orthodox jews and rabbis and Eastern Orthodox Church. Now Jesus clearly thought of himself as the son of man (bar Anush) of Daniel 7:13 & 14 for which the textual conclusion is in a corporate Messiah as seen in vs 27 (the head of whom from vss 13 & 14 heaven must receive until the time of universal restoration...Acts 3:21 NRSV). Did the apocatastasis occur in 70 AD, lady? Nah I didn't think so. So did that destroy the faith of the 2nd century Church to which Polycarp adhered? Or the 4th? Christ may well have come back in judgement on Jerusalem in 70 AD, as Flavius Josephus gave a supernatural account, whereof everyone saw chariots in the sky and a voice that spoke "Come up here." But there is no exegetical necessity to assume that this was what the Apostles would have reckoned as the Parousia which Jesus had also foretold. He said that the darkness was coming during which no man could work, and in the parable of the ten virgins they all slept till midnight. One doesn't have to interpret that time of sleeping as a mere 40 yrs (a very awake and active period called the Apostolic era in which many did work). Have you delineated the "great apostasy" which is foretold in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 as being referred to the time of the end within that 40 yr period? From 30 to 70 AD? Of course it's only unbelieving Naturalist scholars who posit that all the prophecies of Jesus about the fall of Jerusalem were never spoken by him but added after the fact. It's how they date which of the synoptics came first, along with the bogus theory of a Quelle Gospel. To each their own cup of tea on all that. I drink café. So you don't actually have a better understanding of Orthodox eschatology than Christians do. You just don't wanna believe it, as is your perogative. You do, however, highlight some interesting theories in this video. As for the JEDP of Julius Wellhausen, that's a theory that is shot thru with many holes, as is your exegesis of Genesis 1 & 2, in the opinion of many scholars, both academic and religious. Well, I could say more but I'll desist for lack of time and space. Thanks for sharing. Have a fine day.

Thanks! And thanks for the honest questions. 1. NDEs are not evidence of anything. I will do a video on this to explain more. 2. This answer is the same as #1. Our minds are very powerful. All that is our subconscious. 3. Where do you get the idea this world is supposed to be perfect?
@godsfool5284
@godsfool5284 Год назад
1. Near death experiences vary from culture to culture, suggesting they’re products of the mind. While it’s understandable someone would believe in the contents of these experiences as real, after closer examination it’s more like a dream. Also even our perception of waking “reality” seems to be a hallucination of sorts. Brain receives information and simplifies/synthesizes it into a way that works for for our survival. What we experience is largely determined by what kinds of creatures we are.
@godsfool5284
@godsfool5284 Год назад
Given the variety in NDE’s they cannot be used as evidence of spiritual/religious realities. One person sees Jesus, another Muhammad, Buddha, etc.
@godsfool5284
@godsfool5284 Год назад
2. Seeing/feeling ghosts/spirits/demons, results from strong emotions or mental illness. In grief our brain seeks for that lost person, and wants it bad enough to create that experience. Same with fear/dread. Feeling you’re possessed could be a variety of mental illnesses, but it largely comes from the reality that much of our mind/lives isn’t actually under our control. We are driven by internal, unseen processes in the brain, and to make sense of these we might believe another being is in control. An example is someone having intrusive thoughts they find disturbing. They don’t want to think these things, then reason, “If I didn’t put these thoughts in my brain, who did?” Some make the leap to demons or mind control by other people.
@godsfool5284
@godsfool5284 Год назад
3. For most people the world is not perfect, but at the end of the day that’s a personal evaluation. If you can fully acknowledge illness, pain, loss, death, natural disasters , etc. and still accept this world as perfect you may have a achieved a healthy, adaptive state of mind. Basically acceptance of life as it is.

Humans and monkeys and apes are decended from primates that lived roughly 60 million years ago. And your comments overall on evolution were just stunningly uninformed and wrong. I can't image what actual scientific material that you studied to come to your conclusions. It was really like listening to a creationist. A few things you talked about here have me confused: 1) You started off saying that both Christians and atheists get Genesis wrong and cite as example the differences in Genesis 1 and 2. I don't understand how this is an example of atheists being wrong about Genesis. Atheists point out the differences in narrative and origins of these accounts as evidence that they aren't the same story and cannot both be true. You seem to agree with this so how are atheists getting this wrong in your opinion? 2) You then say that both Christians and atheists get the origins of humans wrong and cite a strange version of biological evolution that isn't found in science. Humans didn't "come from monkeys" by any biological or genetic account and different monkeys didn't evolve into different human races. I am unsure where you would be getting this scenario but it seems as though you have been listening to unscientific sources that distort scientific concepts (like Ken Ham does). What atheists are you referring to that propose these concepts? 3) Uniformitarianism and catstrophism as you described them are not differing/opposing concepts. Science recognizes both mechanisms working to varying degrees in biological and geological history. In times of relative ecologic stability evolution is a very slow and gradual process. Sharks being relatively unchanging for hundreds of millions of years is a great example of this. However, when environments change drastically due to any number of factors (including the cataclysmic events you listed) life must adapt rapidly or die. Again, it seems you may have either misunderstood certain sources of information or have been listening to distorted science from unscientific sources. 4) There is a reason "electric universe" concepts and "expanding earth" concepts are not accepted by science...and, no, it has nothing to do with any conspiracy to unfairly suppress these ideas. They simply do not hold up to scientific scrutiny. 5) There is a much simpler explanation for flood stories across multiple cultures than a single cataclysmic event or "mysterious beings". Throughout history humans have usually migrated and settled where flooding can occur because these periodically flooded lands tend to have richer ecologies for gathering, hunting and farming to sustain communities. Then when the inevitable next big flood occurs that takes a big toll on that community, harrowing stories (often with supernatural elements) will arise to explain them. To many of these cultures a particularly large and devastating flood would likely seem like the entire world must have flooded.

Maybe I am wrong, but, with all due respect, your God or Higher Power seems to be research, being right about facts, memorization, intellectualization, philosophy. In my former circle of supportive friends, it was considered a joke when one of us said, "Ive been thinking" because thinking often gets us humans into trouble. It struck me, for example, when you said something to the effect of, "If I resolve my migraine issue,..." The emphasis on I. With all due respect, I think you take a lot of (too much) pride in self sufficiency, which I believe you picked up in childhood (the memorization YOU could do, the feasts YOU (and others) made, the 12 hour days YOU studied the BIble, etc. Perhaps you were just shown legalism and doctrine and facts and getting everything rignt and "look at us" having it all together and never shown love and how to be interdependent on one another? Didnt Jesus chastise Martha (or was it Mary?) when she got upset at her sister because she thought it was unfair SHE was doing all the work while her sister visited with Jesus or whatnot? I dont know if you saw it, but I commented on your other video yesterday about how perhaps your childhood home, which shaped your outlook, seemed to be one of religious addiction - a very, very misunderstood phenomenon. Isnt more of God better? It depends on the motive. I dont know, but your childhood may have been similar to mine (alcoholism in my Dad) in that there was no emphasis on connection, love, depth, tolerance for mistakes - only rigidity, appearances, perfection (as you said, "word perfect), striving. As I said, maybe I am wrong, but my gut says you were, as you know, misled in your childhood, AND you are still misled - albeit in another direction. May I suggest taking a long, long break from thinking, researching, debating, defending, updating? Perhaps your self worth is wrongly wrapped up in how well you can elucidate your thoughts on this matter, as perhaps in your childhood you only felt love when you made to perform in the name of God?

re: your ideas about evolution at 13mins in: It's worth noting that everybody shares a common ancestor by DNA. For you and your brothers, we only have to go back 1 generation to find the common ancestor. For you and someone from another country, we'd have to go back further. But everyone has a common ancestor eventually - and you can prove that with exactly the same DNA test you use to establish paternity. You can do the same with chimps - using exactly the same test. if the test works for paternity, it works for establishing your link to chimps and everything else on earth. If you have a problem with this test, then you'd need to overturn every criminal conviction based on DNA evidence. Nobody claims, or has ever claimed that different monkeys gave rise to different races. All humans currently alive had the same ancestors - some of us are tall, some are short, some have blue eyes, some have brown, some are black, some are white. That's it. DNA tests establish this beyond reasonable doubt. Also, your ideas about "pure races that have not intermingled with other races" are a dangerous deviation from established fact. There are no races that have not "intermingled" - a DNA test of anyone on the planet - even members of the most isolated indigenous tribes - has shown that significant mixing of genes has occurred throughout the last 2 million years. There is no such thing as a "pure" race and all the differences you describe are matters of degree present in all humans from everywhere. This isn't an opinion, it's right there in the DNA if you do a little googling.

Your information on races is incorrect. You have to take into account genetic diversity, meaning humans and animals had high genetic diversity. This allowed their descendants to take on sometimes very different characteristics. Regarding humans, we are actually very closely related and the outward or cultural differences are actually very minor. If you want to regard the science of skin color, science now says that white skin is an adaptation to northern climates and that about 9,000 years ago, white people were brown skinned, but lost pigment over time to absorb vitamin D. The ‘race’ or people with the highest genetic diversity come from the area of Ethiopia. This means that this group of people can have offspring with very different characteristics depending on environment. Regarding animals, keep in mind that the great diversity that we see in dogs comes from the grey wolf, and that most of the very different breeds we see today were all created by human breeding *over just the past 300 YEARS.* Certain animals have high genetic diversity and produce varying offspring.

I was a truth seeker too, I looked into many religions on my long journey and came to a different conclusion, which was that Christianity is true and that Jesus Christ is the truth. I don’t agree with a lot of the teaching you will find out there, it is a bit of a minefield, but fundamentally I believe that Jesus came to reveal god to us, where we fit into the plan of creation and that he is trustworthy, despite the failings of the church and the people who represent it. I think when it comes to seeking truth it is a very unreliable process at best for three reasons. Firstly, when people dig into the bible and analyse it using writings and opinions from a multitude of sources, if those sources are not 100% correct, even if they only have 1% error, then you can end up with a lot of error in your understanding especially over many years of study involving many sources. The more data the more error. It doesn’t take much error to make us off beam. We really don’t know how reliable any sources are. Then we have our own bias’s and filters/belief systems through which we interpret the world around us. Two people can read the same passage and read it differently. Some interpret passages of the bible literally others allegorically or spiritually, who is to say which is right. We all have different experiences and points of view and sensitivities which bias us in some way and our thoughts are often skewed because of painful experiences. Lastly, the bible says we are in a spiritual battle, there are forces out there deliberately working to keep us from god, to get in the way and deceive us and cause us to shy away from god in some way, essentially to believe lies, such as god is not for us, does not have our best interest at heart or that god does not exist. If we expose ourselves to erroneous teachings without god’s protection we are likely to go off track. I suppose the point is we are not wired up naturally or is the world configured to know the truth. We will each bring ourselves into the mix, we can easily go either way. Just as Jen studied and came to conclusions that led her to leave Christianity so there are many who have studied the bible, often to try to discredit it, and have become Christians as a result, such as with the person who wrote the book ‘Who Moved the Stone.’ I think if we really want to know the truth about god then god has to help us. Jesus said he is the truth and says to come to him and ask him, seek him, knock on his door. He says he will respond to us. Not necessarily in the way we may expect, but he promises to respond to those who call on his name. We can pray something like Lord Jesus Christ, if you are the truth, if you are truly god, please show yourself to me, please guide me into the truth. We can easily get bogged down with doctrines and different teachings, and be burdened and put off Christianity. Maybe we lose sight of the main thing and it’s simplicity.. To my mind the main thing, the cornerstone of faith, is not all that stuff but that Christianity is a personal relationship with god though faith in a person, Jesus Christ. It is believing and trusting in him. Not fundamentally trusting in words that are open to interpretation, but trusting in a person. We have to take a step of faith in him. I think the only way of being sure that we live in the truth about god and don’t get distracted and off track by many sources, man made ideas with errors and deceptions, is to reach out to Jesus personally, directly, who is the truth, in humility and honesty. God (Jesus) promises to lead us into the truth and guide us as we trust in him and discern what we read and hear through his inner presence. Without that connection, looking to him for guidance and protection as we explore, I think we are vulnerable. The bible says we need the spirit of god to guide us into truth because of the spiritual battle in which we reside and our lack of natural spiritual discernment. Jesus promises to live in those who trust in him through the Holy Spirit and to guide us into all truth. I think we all need to know the truth about god’s love and why we need to have faith in Jesus. God wants a relationship with us so he can bless us and fulfil the destiny and purpose for which we were created, to be like him. For the truth seeker I think this video has much truth in it and is highly recommended www.youtube.co

I went from 2005 and on... I came to realize there is an "energy" we are connected to. I call it the Universal Energy that's available to all. It will play with you, bring you things, tell you truths, and helps heal you. It has a sense of humor too. And it uses numbers and nature to connect to you.

I was at a funeral yesterday. Church people there a lot. A church i went to semi casually yrs ago. The guy died. All the talks how he is in heaven and raised up in Christ. Seems like something to make people feel better about death. Im having a crisis today in bed all day, im not so sure I believe this anymore

I walked away from Christianity. As a Native American adopted into a Lutheran Pastors family and been programmed . It took me awhile to deprogram myself. I now am a believer in my Native spiritual beliefs and my life has changed positively . Just telling my story .

Jesus is the best candidate of a “prototype for human evolution”. Evolution requires three things to proceed: 1. Different at birth, 2. A survival advantage, 3. Numerous descendants. Born of a virgin, was Jesus not different at birth? Did his rising from the dead not show Jesus is a survivor? Does not billions of people who have Jesus living in them not show God has many children? But for some unknown reason evolutionists completely ignore this most important and unique person.

Hello! From your original video talking about why you left Christianity, you said you lived in Salem Oregon. I live in salem right now, maybe we went to the same church! I went to Salem first baptist. I havnt been in about a year since I also left Christianity. I hope you are doing well! Your story is super interesting.

Hi! No, I never went to Salem First Baptist. We went to Salem Alliance Church when we lived there. So glad to hear about people escaping the trap of Christianity!

Thank you for your videos and honesty. I have a pile of interlinear bibles and lexicons on my desk waiting to be explored. I am 64 and have been questioning my faith for a while. I prayed on the steps of my church when i was 15 asking Jesus to come into my heart. Whenever i came across passages that didnt make sense., I was told to just believe. My mind doesnt work that way. I am on the path to truth now.

Anyone who starts by quoting Darwin when seeking to describe evolution, demonstrably doesn't have a clue what they are talking about.

Pride destroys. As she moves farther and farther from the hope of the gospel, she becomes sadder and sadder. I was a new ager for 53 years. After a miraculous encounter with Jesus Christ 7 years ago, I haven't looked back. The Bible proves itself. The 365 messianic prophecies further prove the Bible is supernatural. I found those after my encounter with Jesus Christ. I don't think this woman is reachable at this point. My concern is for you. Do not trust this poor arrogant soul who was tossed and turned over and over never understanding the simplicity of Jesus Christ. The book of Colossians is about 4 pages long. It tells you how to go to heaven by itself. Read the Bible for yourself over and over focusing on the New Testament which is only 400 pages. All glory, praise, and thanksgiving to Jesus Christ who died for me and you.

The genetic section of the video is a horror show, I can't tell what is trying to be said, but it doesn't sound good, or attached to reality at all. What are the specific 14 haplogroups and races you're referring to? All humans alive on the planet today share one single most recent mtDNA common ancestor (mt-MRCA), and one single most recent Y-DNA ancestor (Y-MRCA). These individuals did not necessarily live at the same exact time or place, nor did they necessarily mate with each other. The individual who is a MRCA changes over time, in the past the mt-MRCA and Y-MRCA were different individuals than the ones we have today. In people living at some point in the far future, their MRCA will be different individuals than the MRCAs that belong to us today. The non-African lineages of mtDNA and Y-DNA clades nest within the African ones, which corroborates the origin and out-of-Africa expansion of our species. Humans don't evolve from monkeys, humans technically ARE monkeys in the cladistic sense. We nest genetically and morphologically within simiiformes, which is a clade we share with extant monkeys. We share a common ancestor, as demonstrated by the fact that our genomes contain numerous non-coding transposable element locations/sequences that are shared with extant monkeys.

Expanding universe theory means the earth was much smaller and the stars much closer? Excuse me. What!?! A few thousand years ago at that!? Mind-bogglingly ignorant. I was kinda digging this until she said that. All the science I’ve seen suggest the earth is actually LOSING mass. Folks will come up with and say anything. I’m bailing on that one lol.

Jesus Christ reveals himself. That is why some Christians will die for their faith. They KNOW their God is true. Ask God daily and read his word until he answers your call. Get excited. Heaven is real.

Excellent work, great ideas. I'm still a "Christian" but I've become more critical in my thinking and more open to listening to deconversion stories. What I like about yours is your critical thinking as opposed to hurt by church or God and Christians didn't live up to expectations or poor poor me stories. Love it your videos.

@CitizenIreland the Christian faith or indeed any faith should be robust enough to withstand criticism and critical thinking and questions. Perhaps you should address her points raised which I think are good ones. Bottom line it's a question of faith. You believe or you don't. If you believe then is your faith a blind faith based on emotion OR can you back it up.
@slloyd7926
@slloyd7926 Год назад
@CitizenIreland Listening to her story I think it safe to say that she knows a lot about the faith. Your argument or points on historical records are fine (personally I would have added archaeological evidence as well) but she or anyone could argue that the biblical accounts or stories were taken from other cultures. If you listen to her videos she does seem to struggle with atheists or a total rejection of the existence of God (I may be wrong). Once again it all boils down to faith. On 1 John 2 :19 she went out from us never one of us seems a little harsh considering her years of study. Question is who are the ones that went out? So many denominations who is right? Some say as long as we agree on the fundamentals we are in. But who decides on the fundamentals????? Who knows perhaps you may backside or leave the faith sometime down the road. That's why it's important to learn from others experiences
@slloyd7926
@slloyd7926 Год назад
@CitizenIreland Agreeing on the fundamentals...??? Well as I have said you either believe or you don't. Interesting that Jesus never asked peoples theological position on systematic theology. Only they believed or not. On the "14 gods part". Many Christians read the additional apocrypha writings such as the book lof Enoch ect.... Some go further into Judaism and the more mistic side etc... I suspect Jen has studied a lot of additional resources in the Jewish root side hence the more unorthodox. Personally i believe the Bible is suffice to salvation, however these additions do give a interesting additional information. Many Christians have bad life experiences and hurt from other Christians ie relationships and hurt by church. The key to remember is that they are walking away from people NOT Jesus.

What discrepancy?? Your questions or points you have made are easily answered.... you kept saying in another video these things are Only for Israel.... God told Abraham "All the nations will be blessed through You ".... many other points you thought no one could answer but there Easily answered. Your either not intellectually honest or Willfully blind.
