@@thiagomotta777 The strategy used to be much more volatile. When the game was very new, the best strategies were insanely hard and quite luck-based such that the first two people to beat it (BigBug and Markiplier) both had to spend hours. With modern strats, it's pretty easy with a few tries.

@@cayben8865 Have to leave about 35-37 seconds before the end where you don't check the cameras at all -- if Foxy ever advances, it's not an efficient run, despite RNG not being the most nice sometimes.

@@dewdperson767 actually, there's a garunteed chance of bonnie leaving on 20 the way it works is that animatronics all get a movement opportunity every few seconds, and the way that works is RNG makes a number between 1 and 20. if the ai level is greater than or equal to the RNG, the animatronic can move. so on 20, the animatronic is garunteed to move. it is also the same system for the door, so it means that you can open the doors after about 4 seconds for them. for freddy and foxy, while the camera is up they cannot move. foxy gets stunned for a bit after you put the camera down, although freddy can move as soon as you put the camera down. freddy also has a countdown of up to 900 frames before he is done moving on level 1, and 100 frames on level 9. on levels 10-20, there's no cooldown because 1000 - 100x11-20 = a negative number. freddy goes to the corner, and once he gets a successful movement opportunity, he will attempt to get in the office unless your camera is down or on the same camera as him. if the door is open he will get in. then, every second you have your camera down there is a 25% chance for freddy to jumpscare you. if he is blocked by the door, he will only go back to the hallway. every time foxy gets a successful movement, he will go to the next phase. once foxy reaches the hall, until you put your camera on him or after about 25 seconds, he will begin to rush at your door, making it in if it's not closed. each time he rushes, he will take away 1 + 5x more power. x being the amount of times he's rushed to your office. on higher cpu levels, he can also begin in his 2nd phase. when bonnie and chica are blocked by the door, they will go back to the dining area.

Quite ironically, 4/20 mode is when the animatronics move in the most predictable patterns.

Bonnie's movement locations are pretty spread out, also for some reason he'll sometimes go from the cam outside to your door, to the closet, to your door.

He cant move if your looking at him but can only move into your office while your camera is up so youre safe from him when the camera is on the room right outside

Foxy requires a frequent camera check on *any* camera. You never actually have to check Pirate Cove (Phone Guy is partially wrong in his call).

+DJ Sterf Actually, I don't think Phone Guy meant that at all. He only says that Foxy should be checked in Pirate Cove regularly because Foxy may leave while the player isn't looking. Phone Guy never specifically says that checking Foxy in Pirate Cove stuns him, just that he's more active if the cameras aren't being checked often enough. However, he did make it sound as if checking only Cam 1C stuns Foxy, so it's no surprise that people got the wrong idea.

funny that you consider a tool assisted run as the same category, shooter25 used a tool that shows exact times to flip and you can tell from the comments on his video that he used it, tool was made by elairyx

@@sampellegrino3504 but he has to time it at the start of the run, and time every single thing he does basically perfect to get something as high as 26%. he's calculated basically that if he does what he did timings as perfect as u can get with good Bonnie and chica rng 28% is maybe possible but other than that nothing above is humanly possible unless u just don't check something a bunch and get extremely lucky and still do the rest of the run perfect. keeping track with it while playing takes practice and surely can't be something anyone can do even with that practice, it is far harder than this

Yep. Quick camera flips are all you need to stall Foxy. CAM 4B freezes Freddy unless you swap to a different camera (and then you'd end up w/ a jumpscare from Freddy in a few seconds)

Markiplier was never the king he was just the only content creator who respectfully put time in trying to beat all the 20 modes

Fast camera flips prevent Foxy from moving, and you can gamble safely a few times on that and usually be okay. There's no requirement in the game events for you to look at 1C. CAM 4B prevents Freddy from entering the office, so best just to stay on CAM 4B the entire night and flip fast.

@@Madowl576 Correct -- a flip every 1.5 to 2 seconds is usually enough. The top end of the random range is 17 seconds, but you can't count on that happening regularly, so the low end of the random range is better.

@@djsterf I tried do that strategy to prevent Foxy from getting off his stage but it didn't work as he still leaves the cove so probably have to give up then if the strategy didn't work

You only have to check the lights for Bonnie because your stuck at Cam 4B but for chica, she will replace Freddy on Cam 4B, Sometimes she’ll go to your door but sometimes she’ll go back. So when you see Chica, js keep camera flipping or keep stalling Freddy and Foxy till Chica disappears and Freddy reappears. Check the right light to see if she’s there, if she’s there close your door, if she isn’t js keep doing your stuff. Ik this is old but eh.

lol you don't have to check on Foxy -- just a frequent check of the camera. Best bet is to stay on CAM 4B and not move from there. That also stalls Freddy there.

He doesn't. He only checks on bonnie and chica. Hence, he get foxy jumpscare at 2nd attempt on video. He just beat it by luck for foxy part.

foxy needs camera use in general, freddy is camstalled on cam 4B, he cheks bonnie, and sees when chica is at the door.

To counter foxy you just have to look at any camera, not necesserally pirate cove

Foxy only needs camera usage in general. If you flip the camera up and down very quickly and very often, he’ll be locked in place, even if you’re not on 1C. Hence, you can stay on 4B and stop Freddy and Foxy from attacking.

Yeah, Freddy can't walk into the office from Cam 4B while the right door is open UNLESS you view or switch to a different camera.

Brightshadow Xyz ik im a year late but foxy gets put on a cooldown (can’t try to move) every time you look at the cameras, so by flipping the camera so much, he’s actually not allowing foxy to move.

You waste about 10% power unnecessarily if you have the R door closed every camera flip. Just keep the camera on 4B. When you see Chica, start to check the right side as well. Chica needs to be shut out when she's at the door (like Bonnie). Freddy is stopped by 4B if you stay on 4B and don't move.

AvrgJoe975 but the funny thing is that it isn't at all :)

If I'm correct DJ Sterf explained that the program used to make the Fnaf games would require Scott to have programmed Cam Stalling in otherwise. So Scott must have intended it. I guess he might have put that there as a way to make Freddy less "predictable" by sneaking into your room when you're not looking. Since Freddy is supposed to hide in that room and then when you're not looking he just sneaks in. Maybe from a gameplay standpoint he thought that if the player was looking at him and he suddenly got in they would get frustrated so he made it so that Freddy would wait for you to look away or he added it just to help the player deal with him since otherwise, it might have been too easy for him to sneak in. Or any other number of reasons. I think the idea was that you were supposed to look at pirate cove to stop Foxy (therefore letting Freddy in) but Scott may have screwed up and accidentally made it that you have to just look at the camera in general instead of pirate cove specifically. I think the "exploit" is more an oversight on how Foxy works allowing players to just look at any camera wihch then allowed this strategy to work.

+Malenrick Actually, I think Foxy was always meant to be slowed down by simply using the monitor. I say this because while Phone Guy says that Foxy doesn't like being watched, he also says that not using the cameras in general will make him more active. It's so weird. Anyway, it seems to me that Foxy was programmed this way to prevent the player from simply stalling in the office while the monitor is down, which would make the game too easy. But, yes, I agree that this isn't an exploit--just an oversight. Foxy and Freddy work exactly as they're supposed to: they can't do anything if the monitor is used correctly. Scott, however, failed to see how potentially broken the monitor was and didn't adjust Foxy's AI accordingly.
