I still remember the day I got my GBA, even though it had no backlit screen and was hard on the eyes. But, oh boy, did I love that little portable console! It was Mario Kart Super Circuit that made me decide to invest in it. And, hey, I even got both Zelda Oracle games, even though they were originally made for the GBC system. Who cares about that, though? The fact that they were backward compatible was the real deal! Looking back, I had a feeling that they would be worth something someday. Good times! Fantastic list, thank you so much for this trip down memory lane!
funny this video popped up, just started playing Metroid Fusion as someone who didnt play any of the games. I was shocked at how fun and addicting that game is! Love it
There probably should have been a Megaman game on that list, be it Battle Network 3 or Megaman Zero 2/3 (Personally prefer 2, but 3 is generally considered better)
The Superstar Saga i swear to me felt lightyears more amazing experience than the classic Mariobros platformers i love. It just shines with all the riches of Marioworld and all
Well they recently added two Golden Sun games to the GBA online on the switch so maybe I should start playing them. Anyways a lot of these games I haven't played but oh yeah I played both the advanced Wars that came out In fact I played both the advanced Wars for the DS I'm really miss days of ruin because that's the best one, and I of course played the remakes of advanced worth one of two on the switch. My voice to text keeps getting words wrong. I also did play fire emblem back in the day and now I'm playing it again on the switch. Pretty great game indeed! Mario and Luigi Superstar saga was so fascinated to play back then and now I can play it again so that's awesome. I wasn't aware of the minutes cap back then. I don't know why. Just somehow I was just not aware of that game. I heard about it many years later and I'm glad it's available on the switch now because I realize what I was really missing out on because the Minish cap is awesome
@@PeruvianPotatoTo an extent, sure, but they did as much as any other annual game series did to keep players coming back. Some stories were definitely better than others and each game helped refine an incredible combat system. Now if only they had cut down more on the backtracking filler...
OK, i know we can only put 20 in the list, but i'd like to remind everyone that there is a GRAND THEFT AUTO on the GBA, and also DOOM...Both with 3D. Let that sink in...🤯
The fact the GBA in only 1 year had Yoshi's Island, a Super FX2 game, when it took until 1995, the 6th year of the console lifespan, impresses me, and with only minor compromises, it's an absolutely fantastic port!
Your list is awesome. It just has great games! I'd just change any games that was important to me, like Megaman Battle Network 1, 2 and 3...But I like a ton your list
I loved my Game Boy Advance so much. I played it for years. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 doesn't seem like it would translate well to the GBA. However, Neversoft pulled it off beautifully. The only thing that sucked about the original GBA was no backlight! Man, that was rough 😂
bought my gba at launch, just before a summer vac in middle school. choose dodgeball advance as my first game. today i play on pocket and these titles hold up incredibly well. this and ds are two systems i expect to still enjoy 20 years from now.
I think GBA is my favorite console. You only said great games and I miss a lot of other great games too...Mega Man Battle Network, Mega Man Zero, Dragon Ball Z Legacy of Goku 2 and Boo's Fury, Dragon Ball Advance Adventure
I was playing Game boy around the time when it first rereleased in the United states , I would always come across new game titles, felt like there was a million games for it lol!! its great i still play some GBA games today like Pokemon series
Maybe. It only took them over 15 years to make Dread. I actually heard about dread a year after fusion. Ain’t that something? I would like to take a step forward and see where this story goes. I think Metroid Prime 4 and a continuation of Dread or newer Metroid game would be nice.
the studio that made dread and Metroid II Samus returns actually pitched for Fusion remake but Nintendo insisted on remaking Metroid II, then dread came about and they more or less *spoilers!!!* "soft" remade Fusion with the second half of Dread.
Astro Boy: Omega Factor and Aria of Sorrow deserve much better rankings. Also what exactly makes you say Yoshi’s Island is the best Super Mario Advance game? While I’m at it, I do love Metroid Fusion, but Zero Mission is absolutely better.
Wuw wuw wuw. Where is Metroid Zero Mission? That's on the same level as Metroid Fusion (although I liked Fusion better). Also, no Bomberman Tournament? No Dragon Ball Advance Adventure? No Mega Man Zero? (2~4) Bah...
I was never a fan of Mariokart due to controls (and yes i dont have the game) *BUT* i have and still play Crash Nitro Kart which oh boy i used to and still do play for hours and *its better than the PS2 version imo*
