Another tip for beginners, eventually you will run into a black cat at the Abbey named Ebony, now I don't know when she starts appearing but I was around level 3 when she did, but everyday you can find her all around the Abbey, even in the forest, and praise her for 25 arcane knowledge.
i think it's alternating at full moon and new moon so every 6 days, might be tied to story progression though so far i found 7 or so spots she can show up, usually near landmarks like the standing stones, the pedestal where the wind rod was, hunters folly on one of the pillars, agathas altar the library the chapel etc., you'll hear a meow when you're close and she shows up on the map after that. so running through the grounds once each day pretty much guarantees you to find her if she's there
A useful tip that i had a couple times saved me was ALWAYS!!! save before u start the mission if ur having trouble just reload the save and pick different characters that will help with that mission
I was just gonna ask how u get better cards not my typical game but it's grown on me never really got into playing card games but this is fun just got it today and played all day
Been hyped for this game since it was announced but unfortunately couldn’t get it at lunch but I was able to get it during the holiday sale and been having blast so far I just can’t stop my team from dying alot lol.
Likewise! It’s unlike any RPG I’ve ever played in that I can’t just use who I WANT because very often the people I want just aren’t good for the situation. I’m trying to breaking the game by power leveling my go-to team. But they’re struggling. Lack of “Quick” cards are a bitch so I’m trying to build up as many cards to fuse them and build from the resulting new card stats…
Be careful with training and leveling friendships i had a playthrough that took a bit for me to gain the armory and challenges but i had grinded frienships and trained every day so by the time i got to the hero challenges i could not complete hunters bc my knockback had gotten large enough that the enemies would hit the walls no matter what
earned my sub, mate! good to hear a fellow aussie. ive been playing this game every chance i get - deckbuilding AND comics?! so relieved it delivered on expectations. forgive me if i just havent reached the point in the video, but how would you feel about dedicating a vid to team composition? im approx 25 day cycles in, and keep the difficulty at whatever highest is currently available (heroic 2 iirc) and am noticing that particularly on the hard/red side missions that it only takes one misplay to lose the encounter. am working on equalizing the level disparity so i have all possible crew options however id love to hear how you/others build your teams. *minor early-mid game story spoiler below regarding a boss fight* (have only just fought Wanda with Magik/Nico, but have completed all available Abbey activities til i continue story missions)
First research you should always get is the extra card from coils, don't open the first coil you get and the second is shove and technical suit, the first passive is just so good..then the item bench, after that i go for the extra intel and two ops.
F'ing amazing idea for a game. I wasn't sure when I first heard about the elements like the deck building and the Fire Emblem style downtime/social stuff. But it just works. Also runs like a dream on PC. I have the game maxed out, and my PC isn't even running warm (with full ray tracing) I mean I know it's not the most demanding game in the world anyway, but so often we see games that should not be taxing, but are because they're terribly, optimised ports. I was actually surprised when it ran on high with ray tracing (based on most games being ports these days, and running like a no legged dog) so then I maxed all the settings and it didn't even blink. Love it. More games designed on PC please. A lot of the big games that come to PC are absolute crap because of them designing games on console, and then porting to PC. Games should be designed on PC and ported elsewhere. We have the best hardware. surely it's easier to slightly scale down a game for a console, then it is to scale it up for PC. It's obviously doable though, as all the PlayStation ports have been perfect. anything that is cross platform released is terrible for PC though, I just stopped buying the main releases until years after (if they get fixed) I even waited a year to get this, as it's just what I do now. I rarely ever buy a computer game on launch now, they're almost always broken./
Hey there! So I’m stuck on day 41, and it won’t let me select anything…missions/sleep/the war room/ the forge. Literally nothing, can’t use words of power either…or fast travel. I’m stuck and I’m not sure what to do. Could anyone help? I’m playing on ps5
Do you know what affects the mission rating at the end? I keep getting 1 star, maybe 2 but not sure what causes this and if there’s any benefits to getting 3?
mission rating is determined by a few things however the most important contributing factor is Hero KO’s. im open to being corrected but in my experience you are immediately reduced to a max of 1/3 stars when you have your first Hero KO. you can revive heroes but what counts is them getting knocked out in the first place also its possible that your difficulty setting impacts what threshold star ratings are set at
@@guysilver842 got my first four star mission yesterday - have yet to google what the cap is but i presumed it was 3 :s also edit: whilst hero KO’s are biggest limiter of your max star rating, the amount of turns the encounter takes you is also heavily weighted
Thank you for this sir. I hear alot of bad comments and i hear a few good. The cards are like the moves and abilities and you just gain more cards for that character you just gain new abilities? Thats what it seems like to me. Its like having certain set of abilites you can use but instead its just cards but all in all its just your characters powers or what not they can use. Is that accurate?
Certain cards do better with certain characters, there are classes of cards that are more useful at certain points during a battle high damage and healing cards can be saved for later in battle, so recycling them to the deck is smart if you need to have more immediate result’s, so when he talks about needing a taunting hero, a healing hero, etc really depends on the objective. There are limited card draws with exception cards, utilizing them properly can level up other hero’s and add more moves per turn. Certain teams do better with different objectives in the battles. All the side stuff is beneficial. Sparring/conversation/ gifting with other hero’s builds friendship and subsequently team morale, petting animals builds trust with the pet and upgrades performance during battles. There are optional missions offered which can also boost team morale and increases combat abilities. Collect everything and complete a couple side tasks around the Abbey >>>before
I CANT GET PAST THE TUTORIAL. I CAN'T SWITCH CHARACTERS, THROW ROCKS, i have no idea what to do. i run out of moves then i can't switch to iron man or vise versa. I have no idea how to tthrow anything. I run out of moves, but cant switch guys
@@bigdave7293 possibly because you have to start a new day after you completed a mission you have to go to hunter’s room and sleep it will start a new day allowing you to start a new mission
I wish increasing the difficulty was more suited toward the AI not just naturally making the enemies harder to kill because they have more health and hit harder
@@norzza i dont think you spoke too fast at all mate. didnt even think about it til i saw one or two comments - i reckon it’s the seppos struggling to follow our accent. stay fresh
The character designs had me worried that the game wasn't going to great bc it's now where near Last of us 2 graphics, but gdmnt if this game isn't fkn amazing.
Idk I like the card system. That's not the problem for me. As much as the abbey is cool I would trade that for an xcom style command base though. I don't like going from third person to turn based. It's very weird and unnecessary. I would have preferred a story being told more like the way xcom was. Xcom had cut scenes and stuff but upon replay you could skip them. I feel like my favorite playthrough of this game is going to be my first because it's going to be very daunting going though all of this again and again. My only gripe is this game can't decide if it wants to be an rpg or a turn based game. It's very old school in a way reminds me of 90s Japanese turn based games. Right down to the deck building. But I just can't shake the feeling that subsequent play thoughs aren't going to be that exciting. These games shine because u have a different experience everything u play. The dark and light path just isn't enough. But idk I could be wrong. I just started finally playing today. (Wanted to wait for most of the dlc to come out and the legendary price to drop. )
