The truth of the matter is that I actually loathe crunches where I’m laying down on the ground- and I think that’s totally normal and okay! You can do other standing exercises that activate the same muscles and give you that same ‘burn’.
Now this workout works the muscles below the fat that is sitting on your lower belly. It will help tighten things up, but in order to see steady weight loss you need to combine daily movement (like this workout), proper sleep, and proper nutrition. Then your body will be in an optimal state for fat loss.
This workout is shorter but hunny, i was dripping by the end of it! It will creep up on you and make you amazed that you were able to make it work!
Remember that exercise is only part of the journey. If your goal is to see a physical change, you will also have to take into consideration the amount and quality of the food that you are eating!

I started this workout and some similar ones from this channel and other channels on and off for the past couple years. I’m 5’2 and was around 103kg last year. I’m down to 71kg now. I’m commenting bc I want to hold myself accountable and hit my goal weight so I will update in a month or so! We got this y’all, keep pushing!

Update: I had a surgery so I couldn’t do the exercises as often as I was but i’m at 69.7kg now! I will check in next month as well now that i’m recovered 😊

7 weeks ago I was diagnosed with diabetes and decided to change my lifestyle. I walk, I don't eat starchy carbs or free sugar and I've been loving working our with Jo. I'm 23lb lighter and my sugars are stable at 5.8 😁

@@drapenteng5976 As I'm diabetic I don't eat rice, pasta, noodles, bread or potatoes as they contain too much starch so spike blood sugar. I don't eat any added sugar or processed foods at all. I don't limit myself on low GI vegetables and I have one portion of whole fruit a day, at breakfast time so I can process the natural sugar it contains. I have plenty of lean protein, healthy fats and low fat dairy as diabetics are four times more likely to develop cardiovascular problems...I stay away from saturated fats. If you want a typical day's menu just say 😁 3 weeks after my comment I've now lost 32lb and my sugars are still stable.

@@user-sc9pn3tq4y High in protein, gallon of water a day, lots of fruits mostly berries because that gets rid of belly bloat. Watermelon does too, no Sugar, low SODIUM, that makes your stomach bloat. Get at least 8-9 hrs asleep, because with the changes your body is going through you need the rest. But remember consistency is #1, don’t ever give up. You set a goal for yourself go for and and stay with it. Also remember my diet might work for me, but not you. You have to find what works for you👍🏻. Don’t give up!

@growwithjo I don't know if you will ever see this but this is the second time I have found myself in tears at the end of your video. I have Multiple Sclerosis, have done rounds of chemo to fight it and am also battling Complex PTSD. I don't always feel proud of myself but I feel strong and proud when I workout with you and your sweet smiling face. Thank you for what you do and who you are. You make a difference.

Just completed this workout as day 2 on the 2024 Grow with Jo January calendar and it definitely kicked up a sweat in 20 very productive minutes. My legs are sore from the day one workout and I am sure they will be sore even more and I hope my abs will be too. These are all signs of burning fat, transforming my body and I am HERE For It!!!

I'm 20 and I weigh 149 lbs. I am suffering from food addiction and I really need to get my health back on track. Starting this on 4/4/2024. Will be doing this for 3 weeks. Did this for 4 days and then I had my exams. Restarted it 7 days back and so happy to say I have lost 2.5 pounds. Will definitely be continuing!!

I have food addiction too. One thing that helped with sugar cravings is replacing it with whole fruit (natural sugar) instead, and very very, VERY little "fatty sugars" idk the right word but like candy or cake, that kind of stuff. when I started eating fruits I almost completely stopped wanting cakes or other sweets. Hope it helps you too

I spontaneously started crying when I finished the workout. I have been in a really bad depression for the last couple of years following from 2 big traumatic incidents that had a huge impact on my mind and body. It was the hardest time of my life. It ruined my self esteem and happiness and I spent most my days laying inside on the couch watching tv. I have been working on getting out of the depression and feeling like I'm worth taking care of and showing up for myself. Getting up and doing the workout made me feel so good and kind of proud of myself, which I really needed to feel. I feel hopeful and excited now to reach the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for creating such a nice workout and radiating such positivity and kindness! I love how it's easy and low impact enough that it makes me not hate working out immediately. It gave me room to experience the joy of feeling active, in motion and not being sedentary. I will do my best to incorporate these workouts in my weekly routine now and show up for myself!

I started my exercises in November 2022 weight was 100kg.In the 2nd week of December i weighed 92.8kg.I weighed in on the 05.02.2023 and am 86kg.Consistency works..By the way i am a 66yrs old female all the way from South Africa.Thank you so much Jo.You are amazing.Without you and your motivation i wouldn't have gotten this far.

Hey guys! I'm going to do this as a 7 days challenge + diet +3 litres of water Age : 20 yr old female Height : 144 cm Starting weight : 56.250 kg Day 1✅️ in 7 minutes itself i could see that I've started to sweat a lot Day 2✅️ could complete the workout and i was so happy Day 3✅️ my body was sore but still managed to finish it .. keep it in mind guys consistency is the key Day 4 ✅️ yayy Day 5✅️ i ate junks yesterday 🥲 and lost my motivation but continued to do it .. cause I'm committed to this! Day 6✅️ done and dusted Day 7 ✅️ yayyy finally! Results: 55.350 kg which I almost lost 1 kg ie. 2 lbs .. I also ate some junks and still could be able to lose 1 kg in 7 days .. and I'm so happy this workout is totally recommended if I can do it u can do it🥳💪 can't wait to try other workouts of jo🤩 Edit: I'm not great at English so please don't mind my grammar 😅

@@Razjaz_1825 Hey! Nothing much dr I just controlled eating some junks (but I also ate fried chicken😜) and restricted eating after 7 pm. I also made sure that I drink 3liters everyday . Hope this helps :)

coming back to this after a year because I just love Jo´s energy. For those of you wondering about results, I did this for about three weeks and my tummy got REALLY flat and my thighs were also more toned and my bum looked nicer and bigger. My problem area is really my arms though, and I didn´t see any changes there but now i´m lifting at the gym and I do this after for my cardio burn and oooou, my body is actually banging! Don´t GIVE UP!

For arms do push-ups. I started with wall push ups because I had just gave birth but now i do regular push up’s. 3 sets of 15 twice a day and I saw weight loss around my bra area and my arms

I’ve done this specific one for the last month and to this month and I’ve included going to the park for a mile run and walking as well, I’ve lost 15 pounds, I used to weigh 180 now I’m 165, I still eat about the same foods but not as much as I used too! I’m glad I found her videos they motivate me to keep going !

I was struggling to lose weight for a very long time. I was working out but I also love to eat. At one point I was thinking that I was going to be fat for the rest of my life until I started eating properly. Good diet is a key. Obviously I had no clue what to eat and how much. I had to invest in a meal plan from Next Level Diet. It wasn't expensive and helped me start losing weight and eat properly. Now I am thinking about getting personal fitness coach to help me learn how to plan and do exercises properly.

I have been doing this workout 4-5 times a week I started on October 26 it is now December 15 and so far I have lost 6 pounds and my stomach looks so much flatter! I will keep posting updates love this workout I almost have it memorized so I keep the volume low to keep up with her and put my own music playlist on and it flies by! I also still need to change up my eating a lil more, I am a snacker for sure but since starting u eat more fruit and veggies and protein still need to cut out more sugar but I’m loving these videos they are my fave on RU-vid!!!!!

I am very close to how you were but a lil smaller but I am so sick people making comments to me like I'm huge or like you said having shorts that used to be so cute on me and now I can't even find a pair to fit me. I used to love shopping now I don't even want to go to the store and if I do I pick the biggest size don't even try it on and deal with it. I have been obese/overweight my whole life. Food has always been a comfort and I’ve always HATED working out. I have no discipline and have a really hard time keeping up with motivation. I was prediabetic when I was younger which I “grew out of”. I just had my first baby at the end of June and had gestational diabetes with him. For the first time in YEARS and the first time since I had my first baby I worked out and it was TOUGH. I also made better food choices today. BUT the biggest part, I didn’t give up. I finished the work out (even if my “rest” sessions were sometimes longer than Jo’s 😅) and I ate the salad when I wanted donuts. And I hope to see myself back here tomorrow doing this damn thing 🤪. Here’s to better choices for a better me. 🥰

I'm new also, sometimes we just need to know that we aren't alone. I haven't worked out in twenty years until just this week with her, you already know how I was feeling right. I went from remote work to working retail-lost 17 pounds in 7 months. My total weight loss is about 40-45 lbs being that I had lost 20 pounds already and wanted to lose another 10. I took the retail job to lose 10 lbs and only intended to keep it 3 months but I really loved the work. Wound up getting more hours and a raise and losing 17 pounds!

My first Time today and I’m drenched in sweat. I think I get insecure when I swear bc when I was younger I would nervously sweat and kids would make fun of me. But this is a good cleanse and thank u for sharing bc I don’t feel so insecure, lol. Keep up the good work 👍😃

Currently 208lbs. I’m gonna do this everyday for a month. I’ll be back June 7th 🫶🏾😊 Hello Ladies!!! I got my scale out this morning weighing in at 202.7 lbs‼️🥳 I couldn’t believe it!!!! The fact that I’m 3 pounds away from being out the 200lbs🥹 -also my thighs have slimmed down SOOOO much and are so much stronger and firm! I built a lot of muscle there and my legs look amazing! I’m so proud of my self I hope this motivated you guys💕😊 2024 UPDATE! as of today I am 166lbs!!! I still do this workout at least 2 times a week. From when I was 202 pounds when I commented this I continuously did this for about two months every night before bed. then I got a gym membership and started doing cardio for 30 minutes three days a week. On days I didn’t/don’t go to gym I did this before I went to bed. 🙂💕Guys please believe in yourself, God, and push through your past self will thank you. ♥️

I rarely comment on posts,but had to give a huge thanks to Jo.I am 29F,have been into active lifestyle since I was 20.But during covid ,due to lack of regular activities, I became addicted to a lazy lifestyle.On top of it my job demands long sitting hours which ended up giving me a whopping 20+kg weight gain. Last year I tried joining gym but felt unreasonably ashamed to workout publically with my current form.Ending up in tears,I eventually stopped going and accepted this sedentary life. Earlier this year I lost my father in a sudden cardiac arrest which shook me and made me rethink my decisions. Fortunately I stumbled upon grow with Jo videos and loved her energy and more over with the positive community she has. Now I have been working out on and off with these workouts 5times a week for last 3months with a moderately healthy eating habit. I have lost around 7kgs which for me is a huge achievement.. And more importantly I dont feel ashamed in my body or demotivated.

I’m 20 and have gained a lot of weight over the last 2 years since I’ve had my kids, I have gotten so lazy, I also start to workout then I stop, but I’m determined this time, I’m currently 188 and my goal right now Is 165 , I’ll be working out everyday ( starting today 1/14/2024 ) until I reach my goal I’ll update on my journey as well

This is my first growwithjo workout. Wasn’t expecting to sweat this much. I just recovered from severe pneumonia and am working on getting my endurance back. This workout killed me but I’ll try it again tomorrow until I can do it without pausing.

I suffered a terrible bout of pneumonia years ago. In addition to exercise, try doing some breathing exercises. They will strengthen your lungs and increase their capacity. Search pranayama on youtube.

I am 20 years old and have been working out on and off in the gym for around 2 years now. My weight goes down when I am regular but the moment I quit, it comes back up and it’s the most heartbreaking thing for me when it looks like I’m being unhealthy all the time. I’ve started doing @growwithjo workouts regularly for 2 weeks now and it’s a lot easy to keep up and stick to! I’m leaving this comment here so I know I’m making this commitment to drink lots of water, eat very very healthy (this is really important for me) and keep up with working out. I’m tired of people telling me I looked much better when I was 17 and telling me to loose weight. I’m tired of feeling like shit.

I started this workout yesterday, I'd love to share my results with you! Day 1- ✅ (at first i thought it was easy but felt the burn in the end) Day 2- ✅ (i started sweating a lot til the end, loved it, had more energy than yesterday) Day 3- ✅ (got cramps in first 5 mins 😛, again started sweating in the middle, but loved it) Day 4- ✅ (started sweating like crazy towards the end, got cramps again but didn't give up 😁) Day 5- ✅ (got tired in middle but didn't give up, started sweating like crazy again 😛) Day 6- ✅ (had lot of energy in the beginning, again sweat a lot 🔥) Day 7- ✅ (same sweating as usual, got tired in last 5-10 mins 😛) Day 8- ✅ (loved it was very energetic! 😉😃) Day 9- ✅(Sweating a lot more than usual 😁 hehe, love the after burn) Day 10- ✅ (very energetic ✨💪, loved it) Day 11- ✅ (my thighs were on fire 🔥) Day 12- ✅ (i was sweating sooo muchh more than usual 💪😎, thighs and arms were burning halfway through the workout tho hehe) Day 13- ✅ (felt amazing, had a lot of energy 💪🔥) Day 14- ✅ (had a lot of strength, legs were burning a bit in the middle 🔥😁) Day 15- ✅ (sweating like crazy 🔥😎💪) Day 16- ✅ (my legs were burning 🥵🔥, loved it ✨) Day 17- ✅ (successfully completed ✨😎😁) Day 18- ❌ (didn't workout today, my stomachs aching, probably gonna do some stretching instead, but gonna get back on track tomorrow 😁✨💪) Day 18 (repeat)- ✅ (good to be back on track, it's getting easier day by day ✨😃💪) Day 19- ✅ (loved it, had a lot of energy, sweating a lot 😎✨💪) Day 20- ✅ (sweating and glowing ✨💪😃) Day 21- ✅ (loved every bit of it ✨💪) Day 22- ✅ (✨😃) Day 23- ❌ (gonna rest today because I'm not well 🤧, but I'll be back tomorrow 😁✨💪) Day 23 (repeat)- ❌ (gonna skip it today as well, still not feeling completely well, giving my body rest, will start the workout again when I'm completely well 😁✨) Hey guys, so I'm gonna do this workout next week, because I've found a different workout which is mainly stretching and i want to do a light workout for a week, so don't worry guys I'm not giving up on this workout, ill see you next week , btw if ur wondering about my results, i recommend this workout 100%, it's really good for your lower body, but always remember it's not about losing weight it's about making the body strong 💪✨😎.

Been doing this workout for about 4-5 weeks , only 3 weeks consistently and lost 3.5 kgs / 7.7 pounds and it's still going, I've tried other youtubers like chloe tings and it worked but the fat would come back again but with jo I feel like I can do it and not give up, she just give me the motivation to do anything and everything ❤❤ truly have changed my life for the better

WEEK 1 Day 1: yes Day 2: yes Day 3: yes Day 4: yes Day 5: yes, I did it on my period with jeans on, I'm so sweaty Day 6: yes, I really didn't feel like doing it but pushed through Day 7: yes, I checked the scale and I've gone from 131lbs to 128lbs! I made it to week 1! I'm sweaty! WEEK 2 Day 1: yes Day 2: yes Day 3: yes Day 4: yes, I did it late at night in jeans because I was busy all day and also had a mental breakdown but pushed through it to exercise and I'm sweaty and proud. Day 5: yes, I had to do it late at night again. I feel so proud of myself. Day 6: yes, I'm starting to mentally struggle to push through and be consistent. Day 7: yes, it was hard to start because I'm taking new medicine that makes me fatigued, but I feel energetic after doing this workout. I checked the scale and I've gone from 128lbs to 127lbs! I wasn't able to stick to my diet because healthy food ran out until now, but progress is progress and I'm proud of my consistency especially since in the past, I'd quit working out after three days or so. I made it to week 2 and I'm sweaty! WEEK 3 Day 1: yes Day 2: yes Day 3: yes, I thought I'd never finish omg

💕➰💕Hey Jo! So listen - in 2019 I lost over 100lbs, but then I let COVID, miscarriages, and change in job take me out of my gym/healthy eating routine and I gained 50lbs back. I’ve just got the vaccine and eager to get back to exercising and be the healthiest I can be to get ready for hopefully a 2022 baby 🙏🏻 thanks for this video - I think it was my start to something great!💕➰💕

I’ve started my workout journey on June 26 with my weight being at 150. I kept pushing working out 5-7 days a week. I would only do a 20 minute workout everyday btw! Now it’s Dec 17 and my current weight is 127!:) Thank you Jo I love your videos!

1st day! Did the whole workout, a little off on the placement, but overall it was easy enough for me, a complete beginner! Right now, on October 11th 2023, I weigh 178.2 lbs at 5'5. 2nd day! Whole workout, no pause, my placement is better this time, a little slow but more accurate and feels better. Right now, on October 17th 2023, I'm feeling good! I'll update on weight later this week. I'll be back soon with another check in

I am currently 167lbs, and although I am not obese, I am overweight and it’s all from me being lazy and not moving my body enough, so this year I am working out everyday, and I started last Monday, today was my first day with this exercise , I’ve heard really great things about this video so I thought I’d give it a go. I’ll update in one month (valentines day) with progress. So very excited! See you then!

Been doing your 20 minute videos at least 3x a week for the past 3 weeks and I’ve slowly been getting my confidence back. I’ve lost a little weight, not that noticeable but my clothes are fitting different and I have so much more energy. Going into week 4, going to take it up a notch and try longer videos or do 2x a day.

I did this one since I have no motivation to work out. I have changed my diet and have a very busy schedule but when I have time I pick Jo's walking workouts. I was 220 in January 2022, now im down to 196! I hope to continue to workout with Jo to see more results! Thanks for doing what you do!

I love Jo’s workouts! I share them with everyone!! This is my 6th day completing this same workout, tomorrow is rest day for sure. But combined with eating healthier (little to no sugar), going for more walks outside, and getting at least 6hrs of sleep each night, I have already lost 7lbs! Holy cow as a mom of two toddlers jo has been a lifesaver! My mood has improved so much and the sweat I get going is honestly empowering! I added 5 lb ankle weights to challenge myself after going through her videos for a solid 3 weeks (the longest I’ve stuck with any type of working out) and wow! What a good burn

Hi all. I started my weight loss journey Sept 15th 2022 at 280 pounds. Size 22 Today is 12/18/22 I weighed at 240 and can squeeze into a size 14!! I started doing Jo a couple weeks ago and it helped me get through my plateau. I was doing the 1 hr 600 calorie burn but caught the flu and switched to this one cause it is shorter. I need a belly blaster though... So hope this really helps

@@laurajayne668 thanks. I was doing 3 times a week. I admit I got distracted. I weighed in yesterday 2/13/23 at 227 pounds. So down 53 pounds in 5 months. I need to ramp up the workouts again. Perhaps you just motivated me to do so. Thanks!!!

@@laurajayne668 drink a ton of water. Eat a ton of protein. I used both Herbalife and nutrisystem.... But not strictly. Wendy's or Applebee's grilled chicken when wanting fast food.

Just completed this for the first time! I'm 22 and after 3 hip surgeries, I am now handicapped and needing total hip replacements. I let myself go due to feeling so depressed after my diagnosis. Was able to keep up (had to substitute a few of the workouts that make my hips flare), felt the burn and felt invigorated afterwards. Thank you for your workouts, infectious smile, and wonderful attitude! Going to be doing them daily from now on. ❤

I've been on and off with these exercises i did it for a month i lost 3 kgs and i gained all of it again,this time im not gonnna stopp consistency is the key,I've done the overall routine so Day 1: 59 kg✅ Day2 : 59 kg✅ Day3 :58.7 kg✅

I’m a believer. I started w this workout video, and have been working out to your videos once a day since. No matter what video I choose, the first time through is hard and the second time the next day is much better. I love your energy. hehehehe i just gotta say i been eating less i ate whatever i wanted but just a little and i been doing grow with jo usually i do her walking workouts but sometimes i do the 12 min tabata or dance workouts and boyyy i lost 4 pounds in two weeks and i drank lemon green tea with chlorophyll hehehe just do itttt

I’ve been doing Grow with Jo since the beginning of October 2021. I was so depressed and had gained a lot of weight and didn’t feel confident about myself. But now I feel so good! This is my first ever workout that I’ve actually enjoyed and didn’t stop ! I’m 18 years old and 5’0 and 44 KG.. which I know it sounds underweight for 18-year-old, but to be fair because of my short height, I look heavier than I am, and I have like a pinch of belly fat, which I’m trying to get rid of and thanks to you. I’ve lost half of that in two weeks ! So thank you ❤ I still have a little to go so wish me luck !

Jo, you are literally an ANGEL! Thank you so much for all of your videos, they motivate me so much to keep going even when I absolutely feel like giving up. I am currently 255 pounds, and was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I’m on medication to manage it, and a strict diet with lots of water and sleep. This is my FAVORITE workout so far. Been with this channel for two months now; 13 pounds down and I keep coming back to this one, especially when I don’t want to workout. I just want to say that, as a mama of 2 boys delivered via csection, you truly inspire me! I don't have time to go to the gym. I honestly wouldn't feel comfortable there, and I am so thankful I can do this at home while my babies sleep! Don't stop making your videos! You are awesome!

I’ve been working out to your videos for a month and a couple days now. Working out 5-6 days a week 25-30 minute workouts and on weekends 40 minutes to an hour. I’ve lost 10 lbs. looking to lose 10 more before November. Let’s go!

@@nawrinislam4663 I normally eat twice a day. Late breakfast, early dinner.. pretty balanced with veggies and protein. I’ve cut down on rice and bread. I actually have been eating more and started gaining weight again. So I’ll go back to my diet.

Hey, I am 50 years old and I just tried this video and I loved it. It was fantastic on my knees and a great starter video. I felt good doing it. I started feeling sad because tomorrow is my mom‘s birthday , Mother”s Day is this weekend and I lost her two years ago and so I been watching the channel for a minute, so I decided to work out instead of sitting in my tears.
