Wow, sounds like you really gave it your all - that's awesome! Everyone's body reacts differently to exercise. How about we find a workout that leaves you feeling energized instead of wiped out? Here's a little secret: start one level below where you think you are. If you're doing intermediate, try beginner. If you're doing beginner, give absolute beginner a go. It's not about going backwards, it's about building a strong foundation! Aim for short exercises that leave you feeling good. The standing classes can be tougher, so maybe start with mat-based routines. Remember, we want you to finish feeling great, not exhausted! Try to be consistent. Short, frequent classes work wonders compared to longer, spread-out sessions. It's totally safe to do Pilates every day! Your body will thank you for the regular, gentle movement.
I finally feel back into the game. I just had an upperbody surgery a few wks ago and I can't exert much effort on that region of my body. Thank god for standing pilates classes of yours, Mira. Gave me a good burn & I feel truly rejuvenated after wks of being inactive. ❤
Thank you for your kind words! Pilates should be fun and doable. It's all about moving in ways that feel good for your body. What's your favorite thing about Pilates so far?
@@FlowWithMira the strength and stability I’m building, especially in my back and hips. I was a track and field athlete for years (discus thrower) and my hips in particular have been problematic for a number of years since. This has helped strengthen, build flexibility and stability in them- which helps my lower back!
@@saragrant9749 Wow, that's fantastic! I see Pilates helping helping a lot of former athletes like yourself. The focus on core strength, flexibility, and stability is perfect for addressing those hip and back issues from your discus throwing days. Keep up your amazing work!
That's awesome! Isn't it amazing to discover how strong your body is? Pilates is great for building strength in a gentle way. What surprised you most about your leg strength?
Awesome job! Pilates is great for rebuilding core strength. It's all about controlled movements that work deep muscles. How has it helped with your stability so far? Keep up the amazing work!
@@keistaspree4621 That's wonderful to hear! You're right, I think Pilates is often underestimated 🔥 Keep up the fantastic work. Send my love and support 💖
Thank you so much, Mira. You are amazing. I couldn't finish every set without a break but I will, by the end of August! 😀 Your instructions are easy to follow and your smile motivates me.
Awesome! Pilates is great for building strength in legs and knees. It's all about controlled movements that work deep muscles. Have you noticed any changes in your daily life?
You're right, this class is not easy at all! Well done. Pilates is about challenging yourself in a controlled and safe way. How did you feel after the workout?
Great job taking on the challenge! Pilates is about pushing yourself while listening to your body. Well done. What part did you find most challenging? Keep it up!
Thank you! If your new, here are a couple of good places to start. There is a free weekly workout on my YT community page that is posted every Sunday. Each video has a link to a free challenge depending on the videos level. 💖 Don't for get to subscribe
This was super hard for me. So I did half of it, slowly, holding on. Still not a waste of my time, but it certainly was not fun. I do admire your abilities.
Way to go! Pilates is about listening to your body and doing what feels right. Half a workout done slowly is still a big win! The standing classes are tough, try the beginner standing classes and work your way up. Keep it up!
@FlowWithMira I can't get on the floor even tho I really want to...I get so dizzy when I lie flat and transition back upright. I need all the standing workouts to work entire body lol
@@Aimee1973 Thanks for sharing ! It's great that you're finding ways to keep moving despite the dizziness. Pilates is all about adapting to what your body needs. Standing workouts can absolutely give you a full-body challenge. They're amazing for balance, core strength, and overall stability. But Pilates also has full body workouts that are all floor based. If you haven't, you can give these a try. Here are a couple of things you can try for your dizziness: 1. Take it slow. Roll to your side first, then push up to sitting. Pause there before standing. 2. Keep your eyes open and fixed on a point as you move. This can reduce dizziness. 3. Wiggle your toes and fingers before sitting up. This can help get your blood flowing. 4. Practice deep breathing before and during the transition. This can help steady you. Have you talked to a doctor about your dizziness? They might have specific advice for your situation. You're doing a great job of listening to your body. Move in ways that feel good and safe for you. Let me know how it goes!
@FlowWithMira thank u so much for the kind words. I will try ur suggestions. My dr didn't have much advice when I told him about my dizziness. It doesn't happen all the time. I am so happy I found ur page....I love these type of exercises... they don't feel like exercise... just enjoyable motion
Yay! So glad you loved it even though it was tough. That's the beauty of Pilates - it challenges you but leaves you feeling great. What was your favorite part?
Loving these workouts! I just had a question, are you supposed to have your weight in the middle of the curtsy exercise? Or should it be on the front or back leg? ❤

@FlowWithMira the answer to both is great! Love your workouts so much! My posture is improving after 39 yrs of forward head slouch. And these are short enough that there is no excuse not to do them at least a couple of times a week (though i hope to get to some longer ones soon!)
@copyblink182 That's fantastic news! I'm so happy that your seeing real improvements in your posture. Pilates is amazing for helping us stand tall and feel great. It's all about those small, controlled movements make a big difference in lengthening your spine. Keep up the awesome work! Remember, short classes more frequently are better than long and less frequent classes 💪💖
You're right, it does take time. But that's the beauty of Pilates - every little bit counts. How often are you practicing? Remember, just 10 minutes a day can make a big difference!
That's the spirit! Pilates is all about progress, not perfection. Each day you practice, you're getting stronger. Keep moving and you'll be amazed at how far you can go!
