20 min Yoga Backbend Flow | Strengthen your Back and Improve FLEXIBILITY

This beautiful yoga practice for backbends is based on traditional yoga asanas with an addition of some fluid movements to strengthen your back muscles and awaken energy along the spine. “Breathe and Flow” while we create space through the entire front side of the body, learn to let go of unnecessary tension and to trust the universe as we allow ourselves to dive deeper into the space beyond our vision.
We will begin by bringing all of our attention towards our breath. Our breath will guide us, it will reveal places of tension and it will teach us how we can learn to surrender. Surrender, Let go, Release to find Strength and Power within us.
The Practice will continue with a number of spinal waves to feel fluidity and resistance of our spine, poses to strengthen muscles of our back body and those to find space and length through the front. The peak asanas of this yoga flow will be Camel pose and Bow pose, some of my all time favorite backbends that I practice on a very regular basis. We will finish with a seated forward fold to regain balance through the front and backside of our body and our spine.
Remember that flexibility takes time and regular practice. So be mindful of every movement and stretch, let go of any goals and expectations and only go as deep into each pose as your body is willing to do it today. You can repeat this yoga practice as often as it feels necessary for your body.
No equipment is necessary for this practice. Do your best, stay patient and grateful for all the change you are creating.
