20 minute gentle yoga flow to relieve tension, stiffness and pain in your upper body. This yoga practice will be perfect for those who experience tension in upper back, shoulders and neck due to work conditions, tight muscles and lack of movement and stretching. In this practice we will focus our attention on healthy spine movements and back stretches all the way from the neck and down towards lower back. Slow soothing movements, gentle stretches and deep breathing will unlock muscular tension and release stiffness. At the end of this practice you will feel more relaxed, at ease in your own body and all the stress and worries will seem to fade away.
If you practice with me often you will know that I always offer you a wholesome systematic approach. That means that today we will need to gently activate and begin to strengthen our core. Our core is the center of our body, it supports our spine and back, it protects us when moving and bending. Weak core can cause many health related problems. We will also strengthen our back body, arms and shoulders. In a very light and gentle way. And of course we will enjoy quite a few of beautiful feel good stretches.
No equipment is required. As you begin on this beautiful journey take it slow, listen to your own body and be patient.
Remember that our health depends on daily movement and physical exercise. So try to include a few simple stretches into your daily schedule. Repeat this practice as often as it feels necessary for your back and overall physical and emotional state. If you suspect a more serious reason for a consistent back pain in your life you might want to consult a physician before you begin any kind of physical exercise.
